Great vid as always mate - love doing the same thing up here on sunny coast canals. I've always got a light setup rigged with a hidden weight system jighead (usually some sort of similar prawn imitation plastic), and you've shown me how to create the next best thing! Keep em coming, cheers!

Another nice vid John. I have found the Squidgy Prawn are best on the HWS but due to there ultra stretch they never go on properly. Trying to dragthem over shank full of lead is fraught with the danger of sling shotting a hook into the thumb. This idea of yours is a perfect fix.

Hey mate, great video as always. I’m visiting the Gold Coast soon with my Kayak and was wondering whereabouts the best canals are and where I could enter from?
@mylurebox3 жыл бұрын
Hi Pinkie, thanks for watching. Mate those canals are seriously everywhere. Early morn would be my favourite and small lightly weighed. I hit the Southern end just for convenience. The north is best imo

Would this lure be good for flathead mate?I am fishing I am fishing in the entrance and this looks like a good prawn imitation.If it is what size would it be good for those medium sized?
@joshzfishing2 жыл бұрын
Hey mate taking a trip to the entrance in central coast and there are lots of prawns and I just thought that the fish will feed on them and so will this be a good prawn imitation lure?

@@mylurebox hidden weights are deadly,until the wind blows!...great trick we found with hidden weights is switch baiting those shy surface followers or pack attacks that won't stick....just whip out a hidden weight for a hook up works a treat.
