BMW650I 2007 model. Coolant sign come up. The reservoir was cracked underneath. Replaced the same at local garage. Bleeding was done and coolant was added. Drove the car for few days. Noticed spots of coolant still. Added sweet water 💦. The leakage was getting worse after the engine cooled down. Discovered the coolant cap was leaking despite it looked in an excellent condition BUT somehow was replaced. The leakage stopped. SO my advise would be when changing the coolant reservoir make sure to replace the cap to avoid headache and frustration. As coolant leakage could be extremely annoying hence not easy to diagnose specially when you have replaced the reservoir and cap looks good. Hope me sharing this commitment would help others. 🙏. 11:50

I have this EXACT issue where my car randomly started leaking puddles of coolant, and then after driving my coolant tank is slowly spraying out hot coolant in a misty way. Will be giving this a try, thank you!

Had that happen to me in a random parking lot I thought I was screwed but I got a corkscrew and carefully removed the rest of the screw

I have a leak but it looks like it’s coming from the bottom hose that’s attached to the reservoir, how do I fix that myself? Thanks!

I would think you just need to replace the entire bottom hose.

With your experience with e90s, is it likely that thick white smoke from the exhaust is due to the oil separator (or CCV/PVC)? My coolant reservoir is on the fritz including the floater stick, bleeder screw, and cap itself. Also have DSC light, oil by Valvetronic. Please advise G. Thanks

Nice ride.. I have an issue with my 328i xdrive with sport.. can I transfer my radiator sensor, or do I need to get 1 with(Radiator)

Not too sure but I would think you can transfer it if it can be removed. Otherwise, you cant go wrong with just getting a new one.

Hello, my friend! Awesome and pretty detailed explanation. Really nice. But let me ask you if you know by any chance that the expansion tank for that car which is the same one I have, if it can be found made out of metal or aluminum anywhere by any chance because for me is not that reliable as it is now made with plastic. In a way I really hate it because with all the heat that part receives all the time it´s not that much fun to be replacing it every couple of years; unless you are lucky and have a strong plastic tank. But yeah, tell me if you have seen the part anywhere by any chance! Thanks for the video and everything else. It´s really appreciated! Take care! ! !

$28 for a god damn screw? OMG! Just order another plastic one for a few bucks and you won't have that problem for another 8 years.

@@InlineSixAuto Well, I checked FCP Euro and it is priced at $18 now. Not bad, but still high. Your original plastic one lasted 14 years. If you would get the same screw, it’s about eight dollars. Nothing less forever. Lol!
