Think you may be missing the point. “This too shall pass” was attributed to Solomon. The Jewish Folktale is it was in request too a ring inscription that when he read it when sad it made him happy, and when read when happy it made him less happy (sad). I think it was more so to control his mood. Neither depressed nor euphoric, but mellow. Also this “this too shall pass” as in enjoy every good moment, love in the present. Not sure if it was an actual recording of history passed down to time, but it does ring true (pun). It also seems to carry Solomon’s wisdom or at least is on level. Thanks, I enjoy your sermons very much.
