This redstone machine took me over 1 year in real life to build! Given it also took me 1 year to begin it, but that's besides the point. I had to create that amazing building to hold it first, well half of the building or something... Here's my story of building the auto sorting system in 1 year on minecraft hardcore! If you want better performance, try the Fabric mod called Iris for shaders and use its included fork of the Sodium mod. It really increases the FPS and most shaders work with it.

You can also use tweakeroo to remove fog

The only downside of it compared to optifine is that shader config menud aren’t in the mod

For the item sorter, if you wanna use less entities, just put the block thats in the chest above the chest. It looks cool, reduces entities and it keeps it just as organized.

If you add a composter on top of a hopper btw it lowers the amount of lag they cause! It's got something to do with the way it checks inventories- the composter has an inventory, but only of one, so the check is very minimal. It's also much more minimal then the hopper checking for entities, of course.

I might have an idea to recognize each chest, instead of having an item frame, or a sign, you could have the corresponding block over it. Eg iron block for iron chest or cobblestone block for the cobblestone chest. This would be much neater. You could also take it a step further by naming the blocks in an anvil as well.

You can use a custom item sorter by (someone I forgot his name, oopsy) which sorts multiple kinds of items (as you configure them) in their respective chests, thereby making it smaller and less laggy

If you want to be even more efficent on resources\sorting speed you could place items in an order of frequency. For example, you put diamonds in the first chest, and obviously you would sort diamonds way less frequently than dirt\sticks\something else. So what you could do is put diamons in the last chest instead. Hope I helped! Love your vids!

Something else you can do for the water elevators if you don’t want to use ice. Use kelp, drop water from the top and fill the tunnel with kelp. The Kelp will force all of the water to become source blocks when the kelp is broken. Quick and easy!

This might lower the frames even more, but under the sorting chest that you put it all in, if you cram loads of hopper minecarts, the chest will almost insta-empty. 😀

If you're planning on hiding parts of the auto sorter, i think best block would be white concrete for the chests/hoppers part, since it'll blend with the floor to creat an optical illusion of more spaciousness

I like this episode format much better than the 100 days format! For the item sorter, you can place solid blocks in front of the chest to mark them. I.E. the dirt chest will have a block of dirt as the floor in front of it or you could have it up if you don't mind reaching over dirt for your dirt. x3

Watched your 4 hour 1000 day video at normal speed, then saw this. Just had to say, very proud of how far this has come and can't wait to see where it goes! Also for the chest room putting the actual block under or over the chest is an easy way of telling what is there and for the ones where you can't do that like the Totems of Undying you can put a sign so it less FPS. For food you can just put a hay bale since wheat = bread.

for big storage system I suggest u put the block itself where u store them. Either at the bottom in front of the chests or above. Signs and item frames cause a lot of lagg, placed blocks won't.

You should label the sections on the storage systems by building small environments around the chests using the blocks that are being stored ( like a jungle for bamboo )

To limit the amount of chests you need and stick to 3 (so you can double the item lines one of 3 on top the bottom 3) you could just use shulkers in your main storage chests for cobble and such

You should place the designed boxk right in front of the Chest (in the ground of course) it will save you from lag but it will be a tiny bit uglier. So put in in order like diets to stones/gravel to concrete, etc, etc. if you put it like that it should look better
