Some tips for people interested in diamond painting :) -in my experience it’s much easier to pick a complicated picture or one with lots of colors because you don’t have to fill in giant spaces of a single color which can be boring and make you uninterested in completing the project -like she said in the video, is a lot easier to work with them in containers, especially if you have lots of drills and lots of colors -one method I find easier to work with is cutting off a smaller section of the project and working on the smaller square instead of pulling back the protectant all at once which can lead to the glue getting hairs or dust on it. Another useful thing is to put the drills away when you’re done with that color just in case you mix some of them up (or spill them all over your painting like I’ve done in the past) Hope this helps someone :)

In my experience in doing diamond paintings, these are really true. All of my diamond paintings before I've just pulled the cover straight off, and it was a big mistake honestly. Also, all the packets of tools I got with the paintings, they didn't have the pen which can put many diamonds at once. And without that tool, a large portion of one color is SO frustrating and boring to do. One time I had half a year that I didn't continue, because I knew I had to do the large portion one by one. So I also recommend getting a pen with the other side if it doesn't come with the original package :)

I’ve always pulled the whole thing off, yes I get lots of dog hair in it, but I lay the cover back on after. The reason is because I don’t want to open dozens of little packages for one corner, I don’t have enough containers for all the colors so ehhhhhhhhhhhh for me it’s either dog hair or you don’t finish cause the beads get lost.

I started diamond painting as a hobby in January this year. I chose the round drill because according to several diamond painting enthusiasts on KZbin for a beginner it is easier to start with the round drills because it takes less time to place and it does not need to be perfectly aligned. I have already completed 26 diamond painting and am about to participate in Advent Calendar style challenge (1 square per day for 30 days.) However, I have several paintings to do in addition to the one I keep for the challenge because I obviously do more than a square of about 7 x 6.5 cm per day. Hope you keep doing diamond painting from time to time. The process for me is very relaxing.

@@sally2467 you can get them on Amazon but some cheaper options are like wish... you can also find them at Michael’s by the company diamond dots but I would recommend to start with Amazon just because the diamond paintings are a lot cheaper! I hope this helped :)

Well done on completing the diamond painting! It's a shame that it had so little detail and so little variation in colour. Usually, a diamond painting of that size can show a lot of detail and look more like the original picture. How well the picture is translated into pixel format for diamond painting really depends on the company, though. Your puppy is gorgeous!

It looks like Howl and Sophie from Howl's Moving Castle. The detail was enough for me to recognize what the picture was of but it is too pixelated for this size. The art would be better if they zoomed in from the waist up but I guess it will lose the context if zoomed in too much becasue the background would then just be sky blue. There were 40 colours used so it's considered pretty varied in colours. The smaller ones are between 25 to 35 generally. I think the issue is the image, not the rendering. The size would have to be even bigger for the details or the images need to be more zoomed in. I generally avoid characters unless it's mugshot size.

It's tedious, takes a lot of time & patience but the end product is gorgeous 😍 I tried this already but my grandma accidentally bought something big which took me quite a long time to finish it. It’s super tedious but honestly the most relaxing hobby I’ve ever done. I have adhd and I can sit for hours without getting distracted while listening to podcasts or tv shows. Everyone should give it a try! They have beginner kits that are small and not a full canvas.

Your video is really nice here’s a helpful tip when doing diamond art use the paper on areas of the section you aren’t working on it helps the diamonds last as the glue won’t dry up a bit 😊

I do diamond art or diamond painting as a hobby. What I've learned is to do small sections, cutting the plastic layer to keep the rest sticky when you work on each small section and then go one color at a time with each section. If you want anymore tips, I've got alot. I've been doing diamond art for, I wanna say over 2 years, maybe 3 and I have dozens of finished and need to do pieces.

Helpful tip! When you get the art, roll it over the other way so there’s no bumps and that on the art. Also, put like bucks or tape or something heavy on the corners so you don’t have to hold it down all the time!
