as someone who's been trying to learn ableton for years and getting nowhere this is fantastic

My favourite way of generating basslines in ableton is loading like 30 instances of diva and serum on drum rack with sting before it. Generates really cool basslines this way. I still can't figure out a way to limit the range of triggers from these sequencers. ex- instead of making the notes from sting or other sequencers go all over the place in triggering the drum rack, having the same pattern play on a limited range ex- c1 - c2 for a more controlled approach.

you have a nasty computer to be able to load 30 Divas and play around dude.
@Ambrosia2830 Жыл бұрын
@@critza yes I do have a good laptop, but I think it helps that only few instances play at a time. I think it only took like 20-30% of my cpu.

@@Ambrosia2830 And creating presets from scratch can make a huge difference to CPU usage.

Think there's a way in Ableton using midi scale and limiting the range of possible notes by removing possible notes played.

Cool vid man, Can you add swing inside the device?

Is there any alternative to MDD SnAkE? Maybe something for Bitwig, preferably a VST plugin?
that octave pitch btw is not really necessary that line between the random and reset button does the trick, you can shift/pitch and also dial in the note range itself :) and keep up the work your are doing!!! appreciate every minute you put in

can we use it to create texture loops?

Bro, can you make a video about how to add FXs to your track. I know it is silly, but I am really struggling to do that. Find the perfect ones is the same hard for me like finding the right sounds. Thanks
@mvandell Жыл бұрын
Really get to know your effects. Play around a lot and experiment. It's really not silly at all to ask buddy. Make mad crazy FX chains, change the order of them.. try inline and return track FX.. parallel FX. It's a massive part of it, but the more you understand what each effect does the more you'll know what to reach for when you need it. Hope this helps some

I was kinda bummed when I discovered this was an Ableton specific program and not a vst 😢
@martijn081 Жыл бұрын
I've been there man. Almost every electronic musicproducer seems to use Ableton. Have seen a lot of tutorials i could not replicate. After several workarounds, a lot of frustration and buying plug-ins to do what can be done with stock Ableton, I finally took my loss. I just bought Ableton and left Logic behind me. I never looked back. Should have done it way earlier. The midi tools are so powerfull and the max4life devices are great!
