Happy Sunday Gang, sorry we haven't posted in a week, here's a long one to make up for it :)
Today's video we FINALLY invest in a tool we've needed for a longg time. We'd argue that it paid for itself on the first job! We'd probably still be in that bathroom if it wasn't for this bad boy, buy once cry once! This was a pretty tough demo, and for a DIYer can probably seem a bit overwhelming. We wanted to take the time in this video to shower how we break down our tougher demos piece by piece, to come out with a clean and safe result (Might get a little wet sometimes) We're glad to be done with this one, and happy to share it with you! Drop any questions or comments you have below and thanks for watching! We'll see ya in the next one!

Clean your demolition hammer thoroughly with compressed air before wiping the exterior with the microfiber towel. Blowing compressed air into the tool's air vents will clean out the abrasive mortar dust that the motor's cooling fan sucked into the housing. Your Bosch demo tool will run cooler and longer - protecting that $600 investment. Cheers!

@@NoL0NGERhumAn No. Use a paper towel or piece of discarded paper to wipe off grease. That is a high quality towel. It is senseless to waste it as a rag.

What a fantastic showcasing of the proper way to demo. You don’t just go and rip and hammer things out. You’ve gotta be methodical even during demo. Another great video guys. Loved the new Bosch Hammer. Almost at 125K! Keep up the good stuff fellas. Stay blessed.

Still the best way ro build a shower. Hardee board is ok but the flatness of the floated wall and durability make for a more solid shower wall. Higher quality results

As an HVAC Tech, I love and have much respect for your knowledge on everything from HVAC, to plumbing, to electrical, to framing, to finish work, etc. KZbin comments can be positive but also unnecessarily negative with know-it-alls that want to tell you that you are doing something wrong. I just want to tell you, never change! You are obviously a wealth of knowledge and always willing to learn more about everything. I absolutely love that, and I love to see how you teach Jordan about all the skills of the trade, and how Jordan captures it and brings it to all of us through this channel. You guys are easily my favorite follow and your pride and skill in your work, I'm constantly in awe of. Seriously, you are so damn good at what you do. My son and I demoed a 1982 Tile mortar bed Shower this week. Metal lath. Walls were tiled before the floor. The metal lath had "cut" the same style shower 'pan' y'all had. It was completely rotted. The shower was on the second floor. The plywood subfloor was completely rotted through in one corner. The 2x4 sill plate along the wall is almost completely rotted away. This shower must have leaked for years and years. Why someone put the walls up first with the lath the way to the pan was crazy! Wish we had the Demo Hammer, but we got it done. Love your videos.

And I took that exact same shower out of my sons house with it. I never would have made it with out the thing. When we lived in NE PA, I ever used it to chop ice away from our split unit!!! Did the 1971 master in my old house. I had a shower similar. I took it all out the window in 5 gallon buckets. dumped to a wheel barrel . Work like a champ. Mine had a vinyl pan. I was very weak and easy to take out. I got lucky because they cheaped out with regular sheet rock on the walls. Had the thick bull nose tiles, but they double the sheet rock under it. I have a smaller SDS sized roto hammer and I love it. Well worth the 175 I spent on it. Its done tile removal as well as drilling holes in concrete for slid anchors. I think the biggest chisel that I was able to find was maybe 5 or 6 inches. Also, post up on removing the mortar. The tile was easy, but getting the slab clean was a bear and plenty dusty. I did 2 9x13 sections with a small chisel. Took about 3 or 4 hours a section easy. Put Vinyl plank over it. Was smooth when I was done though. Also, no more videos of polishing your tool ;-)

1950s and 1960s homes use to do the wet wall in 2x6 to give more room for plumbing and the cast iron stacks. I don’t believe it was code, but builders all in the North East use to do that a lot.

2x6 plumbing walls were standard operating procedure for apartments and single family homes when I got started in the early 70s in Virginia. Many times having a thicker wall helped avoid having roughed in waste lines (that had gotten shifted when the slab was poured or were just laid out wrong by the plumber who did the ground works) falling outside the wall.
