zilean is the epitome of making your opponent want to uninstall. he's almost unkillable in the mid-late game when he has his haste items and can turn a bunch of fights because of his ult. the worst part is he just runs away so it's not even like he can't die because he's tanky. he can't die because you can't catch him. extra points if you emote, taunt, or laugh with zilean the mental boom comes even faster

About Zilean and voli's lore, it's not quite that they hate each others, one of riot former dev's nickname was Zilean and he was against the creation of a champion who'd be a bear wearing an armor, so until Voli's rework, I believe they each earned some extra gold if they killed each other

Craziest part is Zwag does none of the advanced zilean things like throwing the bomb on the minion your auto is flying towards to insta boom. Or placing bombs on your own cannon to deny or punish. Or Place both bombs on the floor and grab one, then run into the other, shit like that. Just, nothing impressive except for spacing and he crushed.

Zilean has been my secondary pick for top-lane (Cho'Gath is first) since he first came out - his shenanigans were instrumental in my near flawless run (1L at Diamond 1 due to hard-int'ing Yi) to Master ELO in Season 7, and he's not lost a step. Until season 10 he was the only mage that I even liked to play, and he's still my favorite mage by far. Always love to see him in action if the driver knows what he's doing, which Zwag does. I will reiterate, for those who don't realize this: Void Staff is an excellent SECOND item, against anyone who isn't squishy. By the time you complete it, any enemy champion with naturally scaling MR will have enough MR to make the buy worth it - they don't even need to buy any MR items for this to be true. You want Void Staff built early so that the enemy team won't want to bother buying MR. It keeps you relevant. It's so much cheaper for the enemy team to buy MR than it is for Zilean to buy Void Staff... you do not want a lull period where you are waiting for Void Staff to complete to get your damage back. Nashor's Tooth is very strong on Zilean top. It lets him take towers extremely fast. And all those auto-attacks he gets in add up in terms of damage. Plus they can help him farm more reliably while you are holding Q and W to zone. I prefer 5 ranks Q, 4 ranks W, 1+ rank E. (Rank 5 in W should be your level 18.) That puts Q and W on almost exactly the same cooldown, so you can flutter-cast - QWQ, all one motion. And then have that capability back quickly. It's important if you are about to get ganked, in team fights, just in general. The power of ranks in E is high, but I like the flutter-cast spam better.

What sucks with Volibear is that if you CC him while he's using Q to run and stun you it resets the cooldown. However, that's only for hard CC so slows just completely counter him.
