I never get tired of seeing people react to Jouney for the first time. It doesn't matter if it's a rock song or a ballad, Journey will make you feel something.
@sfbaydennis Жыл бұрын
This song came out in 1983 well before the internet, cell phones, facebook, etc. People still used landline telephones. Many rock bands traveled by bus as depicted in the video until they hit it big, after which they would fly for their concert tours. I like how this song is about living on the road in a rock band and how love persist in spite of the obstacles. This is a true classic rock anthem song from the 1980s....and Steve Perry's voice is one of a kind!

Agreed. I grew up in the 80's and remember how much this was on the radio and how much my aunt loved it. Brings back great memories. Steve Perry's voice is priceless.

Looking back, we really didn’t appreciate the greatness of this band, the music, the shows, Journey, perhaps more than any other band , best defines the late 70’s and 80’s , they were truly amazing and I’m glad I was around when they were on top. They really stand out in my mind.

I don't know if you have done it yet but you should do the official video of Journey's "Send Her My Love" (the one where they are doing a concert and Steve Perry is in a white jacket)! Its like they had me in mind when writing this song..... the love of my life lost because of immaturity. This song follows my experience and how I feel to a T! Funny thing is, in the official video of this song (the one where Journey's doing a concert and Steve Perry is in a white jacket) the girl in the crowd at 0:47.... looks like her. To Anne; you will forever hold a piece of my heart..... sending you my love.

It’s good to see young people discovering the music from backing when I was young …. I’m biased about my generations music.. but there is a reason why I think it’s better… and it’s because there was no internet.. you couldn’t make your own music and put it out there for the world to discover it.. like you can today.. the magnet is do saturated that the truly talented of today can get passed over by gimmicks a hot chicks looking like hookers.. back in the days before internet, there were gate keepers on music..only the truly talented musicians made it, there was no auto tune and computers fixing the flaws or creating beats for you.. so only the best could be heard… And that sifted through the chaff

Written by Jonathan Cain. He is on piano 🎹 . Journey was founded in San Francisco, my hometown 🌉. Drums 🥁 Steve Smith played drums here and in the song Heaven, originally sung by Bryan Adams. Both songs were recorded in the same year. 🤯 Bryan Adams was the opening act for Journey in 1983. Guitarist Neal Schon, bass guitarist Ross Valory and singer and keyboard player quit Santana and founded Journey. Suggested videos 📹: 1 Steve Perry and David Foster perform I Stand Alone 2 Bad English performs Straight to Your Heart 3 The Storm performs I've Got a Lot to Learn about Love
