Thank you for this. I have visited many regions in Ghana over the years but for those in the Americas and Caribbean who have yet to visit, you have shown them where some of our ancestors no doubt last walked upon African soil. There were approximately 40 forts/slave trading posts along the Gold Coast that like the fort at AdA, are either ruins or no longer in existence but Cape Coast and Elmina still stand and they are calling you Jasmine! Peace & Blessings to you for all of your hard work and dedication.

As a descendant of enslaved Africans it pains my heart each time I witness something like this. I am very happy to know that Ghanaians are aware of our history. Our ancestors endured unimaginable horror, especially during the sojourn in the middle passage. To have survived that and then to endure a lifetime of unspeakable horror is a testament of their strength and will to survive. The Zong massacre 1781 and the book In Miserable Slavery by Douglas Hall which is based on the detailed diary kept by English enslavers Thomas Thistlewood will give some insight into the horrors our oppressors endured. Another great video. 🇯🇲

Barclay's Bank and the Lyolds Bank in the UK got huge compensations from Slaves who drowned in the seas. Some were intentionally drowned so that they could claim large sums of money( insurance) back home in the UK. He should tell every White person who comes there that if their mortgage is with Lyolds or Barclays Bank, they are dealing with one of the biggest beneficiaries of the Slave trade. I'm Yeboah from Berkshire. Thank you, Ama.

Thank you Jasmine ! What’s the name of this place again and where exactly is it in Ghana ? The Slave Castle, can you give us any information about it and how it was destroyed ? The young Man, who have created this place, what is his name ? I want to thank him. We must never ever forget, what our Ancestors went through, this place should be seen by everyone. My eyes, absorbing the brilliant display of Art, heartbreaking, but necessary to show and see, beautiful, yet sad, knowing this is how my Ancestors arrived in America, shackled, stacked like sardines, treated worst then Animals. So many of us survived, but, without knowing, where we came from, who we are. Seeing Africa, through your lens and other Videos postings from different parts of Africa, in my spirit, it feels like home. From the people I see and the Earth they stand on, I see familiar faces, of Family, Grandmothers and Grandfathers, Sisters, Brothers, Cousins, Aunts and Uncles. The resemblance of faces is as if I know them. I paid for DNA test, to find out and hunt down, where I came from, something I feel the United States should be doing for free, for every African American, whose Ancestors were force here to be Slaves. I appreciate and look forward to all your Videos. Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you ! You do such a good job, with your presentation of your Videos. Sure, we can watch documentaries, but I like these type of Videos of Africa today, in real time, up close and personal.

Beautiful video 😍. I personally think it is about time we as Africans connect to histories that connects to our very root and erase all histories connecting to slavery. Slavery should never define us to world. It was an unfortunate event that happened, yes but, we sure have more better histories that can define our value and existence in this modern world.

@Jasmine Many thanks for this tear jerker. As l said before, there is a lot that the ministry of tourism can do to publicise and market tourism than they do now. They are a complete waste in the economy. I will link up with the guy and help the efforts going on there . Ada is actually a district in the Greater Accra region, not a region by itself. I truly appreciate your works

The climate here works well for grapes. I've visited grape farms in Italy. The grapes on the vine are sour until they are harvested for wine etc. I hope those grapes can also be harvested for wine.

This is awesome but could I humbly urge the tour guide to stop using 3h3 - aha at the end of each sentence. The dude needs the training to do the presentations e.t.c. properly. he has the enthusiasm but I guess this is his style. What was that woman doing soaking her feet in the water?

Great museum, but the tour guide does needs to be more articulate and may be wear something traditional . It can even be a shirt made of African fabric .
