Thank you for mentioning people live in those houses. Unfortunately, some tourists assume the houses are a tourist attraction they can freely explore. If you want to see a tourist attraction where you can go inside pretty much any house, you can go to the Efteling 😉 But seriously, I'm happy you enjoyed your stay and like our old towns/villages. Many people are too focussed on Amsterdam to explore the country and see these beautiful places.

I remember de Efteling, and when Holle Bolle Gijs appeared in it. In those days (late '50s, I think it was) there was a pedal railway, and my brother and I got banned from it because we were too quick and caught everybody up (and bumped them). There was also a high slide. My brother was sliding down, got stuck, looked around and saw somebody rapidly approaching, so jumped the 3 m to the concrete below. We then went to the coin-shitting donkey.

I was so excited seeing you there in the Netherlands and especially the store with the wooden shoes because I had seen it in an episode of Wahlberger's show when they were opening a new place to open a restaurant. One of the brothers stopped at that shop made him a special pair of Clogs. 🙂👍⚘🍔
