On this episode of Vanlife Ghost Hunters, we explore a town that's apparently SO haunted that the town becomes a complete ghost town at night. On top of that, we stay the night at supposedly super haunted Old Washoe Club right in town which is where Ghost Adventures got their start many years ago! Explore Virginia City with me and learn more about it's dark history! - TTTHEFINEPRINTTT

I can't stop thinking about how...to get those exterior car driving shots, this guy has to...drive to the point, get out, set up a camera, go back, drive past the camera, stop and get out and pick up the camera...all for 2 seconds of him driving past it lol

I think about this every time I watch his videos! I enjoy them and they are REALLY well made but it must be exhausting to have to constantly walk back and forth in the halls to get the shot he wants and then go grab the camera and move it again for the next shot. Not to mention having to act like he’s just walking into the building for the first time even though the camera is already there haha.

More time was spent editing this 30 minute video than anyone may realize. It requires a tremendous amount of patience, memory and the ability to have an outsider's vision of your own work, in order to keep the balance of what you envision the timeline of the story to be versus what another person may suggest you discard. It's kind of hard to explain, but anyone who who has spent a great deal of editing will know what I am explaining. Props to this guy for being director, actor, editor, and in the end, a willing victim of his own tales. Bravo.

What bravery? Staying in an abandoned building? How exactly is this brave? It's not like ghosts are real, let alone a ghost who is threatening to kill him or harm him. He was completely safe from the get-go, and he's fully aware of that. I can promise you, if real harm was very possible, many people who go out to these places never would even go there.

I was born and raised in a major city so I can tune out noise for the most part and sleep through loud parties, police chases, drunk street fights, “fireworks”, whatever. But when I visit my grandparents who live in a very rural town, the silence is seriously unnerving and it takes me a lot longer to fall asleep because I become hyper-aware of EVERY sound I do hear 😅

The thing is... He wasn't in that town alone like he said he was because when he came out of the building to grab his gear, @ 12:49.. down the sidewalk you can see people slowing walking down the sidewalk just AFTER he said there was NO ONE in town. So he lied. Then when he came out to get a breather he said, @16;34 you can hear a band playing in the back ground like a bar or something. I wasn't his music it was music from some other source from inside a building.

When I was in Tombstone Arizona with a reenactment group, we did the OK corral scene. My female friend and I stayed at the KOA cabins. She met someone when we were out on the town, still wearing our Saloon girl costumes and she brought him back to the cabin. When we all were heading to the bathrooms/showers that evening, stepping out on the cabin porch, a man in 1880's style clothing was standing next to the porch. I was thrilled, no longer a third wheel and someone I could at least hang out with for a bit as my friend got to know her guy better. I figured he was from another reenactment group still in costume. Flashed my biggest smile at him and poof, he dissapeared before my eyes. Not sure what that says about my female charms. I was shocked, didn't say anything to my friend. The next day I mentioned it to other cast members and they all said that it was a common occurrence. I've seen photo's of the Earp brothers and it could have been any one of them. Tall, lean, handsome, dark haired and stood very straight and formal.

My husband's ancestors were among the Virginia City Irish, who came to the area to work in the silver mines, as they had done in their native Galway. Their surnames were Holleran, Cloonan, and McDonough. Their family members are buried in the cemetery there. Others moved on to San Francisco and Los Angeles when the Comstock Lode dried up in the 1880s.

@sambrooks7862

I'm not surprised, during my lifetime I've had two stays in hospital, the first in 1979 at the age of 14 with meningitis, the second in 2015 at the age of 50 when I went in to have a wisdom tooth extracted and promptly contracted mrsa with quickly became sepsis. On my first stay i had been on the ward for nearly a week and was well on my way to recovery, in fact I was discharged the following day. It was early hours of the morning and I got up to use the bathroom, I was vaguely aware of someone standing next to the bed of an old guy the opposite end of the ward but I didn't speak to them and I was going in the opposite direction. When I returned a few minutes later they were still there and they looked at me and smiled, at this point, even though it was dark, I could see that it was a middle aged woman and I just assumed that it was a member of staff and got back into bed and went back to sleep. When I woke up the next morning I found out that the old boy had died in the night and I told the nurse that I saw that there was a nurse with him when I went to the bathroom so I guessed that was why, the nurse looked looked a little surprised and said that no one was with him when he died because they weren't expecting it, he was on his own. Later that day his son came in to collect his belongings and I said "sorry about your dad". He said "that's OK, he's been waiting to join mum since she died in 1960" I guess everyone will know what I'm going to say next but anyway, he then produced a photo of her and I knew immediately that this was the woman stood over him. I never said anything to her son but I've never forgotten. The next event was quite similar, albeit 36 years later, this time I was very ill, touch and go whether I would survive but I was still completely aware of everything going on around me. This particular night there was a new guy in the bed next to me and he was snoring like an asthmatic pit pony so I was wide awake listening to the radio. At about 2.00am I saw a woman I recognised who was on the next ward approach the nurses station, she stood for a few minutes then went back towards her ward. When the nurse came to check my blood pressure at about 5.30am I told her that this woman was obviously looking for her and she said "I doubt it, she died yesterday" During both of these events you could say that I was delirious but I wasn't, I was completely lucid and wide awake and I know that they were both there.

Hospitals are probably some of THE most haunted places. I work at one & live a good 30+ mins away... During bad snow/ice storms, they let us spend the night on the 5th floor (1 of 2 empty wings due to lack of staffing/business = the other is set up for trainings)... Anyhoo, I end up staying a few nights each year (or times I had to work doubles & was too tired to drive home) & it is so quiet you can hear a pin drop! I swear I've heard footsteps when I was the only one there & one time I heard someone breathing & being monitored by machines though no patients or nurses were there.

Hey Trent I investigated the Washoe with 2 friends back in 2016, we flew over to the US from the UK to do a ghost hunting trip around the country. At the Washoe a camera we had locked off in a room on the 2nd floor and something detached the camera from the tripod and threw it down the stairs to the front door. The thing is though the tripod was still in place but the camera would have had to be unscrewed picked up carried out onto the landing and thrown downstairs. We tried to get the sd card out which due to the damage took a while only to find it was unreadable. We spent a lot on recovery software and even paid to have it fixed but it was like the thing that broke it.....dead.

That's because it's mostly a tourist area now and most of the people Unos stores and saloons go home at night because the road to get to Virginia City is somewhat curvy and not good to travel at night. I lived in That and we always went to Virginia City because my mom loved it. I know a lot of the locals and they said a lot of places on the way up to Virginia City are more haunted than Virginia City itself. Highly recommended it is an amazing step back into the past. I always wanted to go get a shot of whiskey at the Bucket of Blood.

I am a wildland firefighter from the Pacific Northwest United States. My first fire I worked on was located in Southeastern New Mexico. On the way back from home from New Mexico, our crew passed through Nevada. We just so happened to stay the night in Tonopah, Nevada. Tonopah is also a mining town, just like Virginia City, and is home to a mining cemetery, along with two hotels known as The Mizpah and Clown Motel. Both are regarded as some of the most haunted in the world. My crew didn't stay in either, but the Tonopah Station Motel and Casino. That night, after showering, and laying down for bed, I had the most disturbing "paranormal" experience I have ever had in my life. Before I start reliving this event, keep in mind one of my firecrew members is roomed with me. It started with me beginning to doze off, but after what felt like an extremely short amount of time, say minutes, I began to hear what sounded like rodents scurrying across the floor, scratching at the walls and furniture as their rat tails whipped around heavily. The longer it endured, I felt a deep sense of dread washing over me. I quickly noticed I felt locked in place, almost akin to the sensation of sleep paralysis. In panic not being able to move, I began trying to call out to my roommate, hearing my voice each time, knowing not a sound had left my mouth. Reaching a point we're I could not take the overstimulation/exhaustion any longer, I attempted to move and break the sleep paralysis, resulting in trippily regaining movement of my limbs, just to be locked back in the same fetal like position I was in previously, as if I never moved to begin with. This continued, and it got to a point where I was repeatedly ripping my self out of my bed, smashing onto the ground, and yet again, being locked back in the position I started in, safely in the bed. All the while the presence I feel, besides that of my roommate, is the same, growing darker as I find myself hopeless. Once I finally gave up trying to move, I finally feel a phantom like entity in the room past the bottom left foot of the bed. It proceeded to pull me out of my bed, me falling to the ground once more, but more violently this time, nonetheless returning to the position on the bed again. At this point I flip around to face the opposite side of the bed, only to be facing another entity/spirit in that side. At a certain point I was so overwhelmed that it was hard to process what was going on, and all I was focussed on was sitting up right in bed to regain my bearing. This whole time my roommate never woke up. It wasn't until I finally was able to sit up, and I started a call with one of my friends back home to ground myself, and help vent what at the time felt like a very psychologically traumatic experience. My roommate finally woke up from my phone call. I could keep going on fore ever, but I think this is good. This dimensions isn't a particularly easy place to exist for a ghost. So they tend to be stuck around the same location where they might have a bit more power to do things. It's still pretty limited though. Ghosts draw energy from the surrounding causing a drop in temperature, so in hot climates Paranormal Air-Conditioning can save you heaps on power bills. Although there are some cons.

Been there 3 times with my wife and spent the night in the Silver Queen Hotel during our 3rd visit nothing ever happened to me but my wife claimes something touched her back while we were in our room at the hotel. Apparently room number 11 is supposed to be the most paranormally active room in the Silver Queen Hotel, this is room where the Ghost Adventures crew caught what looks like a woman's arm and hand come through the door to the bathroom. The town doesn't turn into ghost town at night the shop owners and residents all live in the surrounding houses that sit just below or above main street.

@@sujatahansda I guess technically speaking, in a sense they followed me home based on the impact that event had on me, but other than that, everything has been normal. I've always had crazy vivid dreams, and I've had sleep paralysis, just without the typical paranormal connotations, just pure sleep paralysis, no entities/spirits. I still have a hard time not feeling as if I somehow hallucinated it all, or it was a very vivid nightmare, but it was so real I don't know how to feel about it, and I'm not sure if I ever will. I live in Virginia City, and visit the Washoe Club weekly, for a drink. The story goes, that a group of people opened up a portal on the 3rd floor they did not know how to close. It was after the portal was opened a few years ago, that the negative activity on the 3rd floor ramped up considerably. But despite this, activity is still quite rare. My friend worked at the store next door, which is still a part of the building, and she said that the paranormal activity in the store would increase during tours, like all the spirits would leave that part of the building and go to the store, to get away from the tours. 🤣

Just a general bit of advice, don't go investigating by yourself. It's never safe to do these kinds of things alone.

Not only is he investigating alone, he's in a ghost town that's high up in the mountains. If anything happens to him, it's probably gonna be several hours later before help arrives and who knows, depending on the severity of the injury, he might not survive till then.

Thank you for going into an old place and not provoking in an aggressive manner and not dropping f-bombs left and right. I have been on many investigations and the language used by most people when confronting the unknown is aggressive. So thank you for showing this old lady of the west, the Washoe Club, so much respect. I do think I heard a woman's voice twice talking with you directly. I hope you caught some good stuff on your cameras.

@@teddyblackroosevelt3187Exactly. When your on main street in a small town where everything closes at 8 no one's going to be there. There is absolutely nothing to do. They're probably chilling at home or something. Not to mention you see a guy walking to his truck for a second before he turns around to keep him out of the shot. Would've been an interesting video on content alone if he wasn't so full of bullshit.

I've been wanting to set up a camera to see if I can catch anything in my bedroom while I'm sleeping. I know sounds kinda crazy. But, I have so many videos of orbs in my home. My mom passed away of rare cancer in my room. But, death itself doesn't bother me. I just miss her beyond belief. When you lose 6 extremely close family members starting with your mom in 2012 and then 1 yr later, your soul-mate (non romantic) but closest human in the world to me, than 3 Aunts the next year and somewhere in btwn a suicide of a family member in PA- only PA member I was close to or talked to. My mom's mother is alive still just turned 98. Has dementia- slow progression. I've had so many experiences over the years.
