I’m curious if you could turn a long oval checkpoint on its side but only have the top visible, be have a shortcut cutting through them under the map, they’d look and behave like normal checkpoints but they’d have room to hide alternate routes

Dapper you should make a track that’s full of optical illusion meant to mess with people’s eyes and hide short cuts in plan sight but not in a wall ride over a gap instead a ramp that takes you into a whole different path with short cuts inside that

Make a track that's medium difficulty withh no check points, theln using haybails as the side walls of the entire track. Add 1 cheese that's hidden with a time trap.

Make a track with easy to find hidden but fake shortcuts. Make them go int9 what looks like a short skill finish but the finish while it looks possible is actually impossible. This way they spend the whole race looking for and finding and trying to use the shortcuts but never being able to actually finish or at least not finish any faster then the official way.
