at 3:32 that is the mount for the compressed air gun to activate the air jacks. Also whats interesting is the taillights they used on this car were not the IS-F tailights but instead the IS250/350 taillights. You can tell becase IS-F tailights have a clear lens for the turn signal and the 250/350 have a amber lens as shown in this car. Another fun fact is the one of drivers for this car was Kazuroni Yamauchi and he is the director of the Gran Turismo series (probably why we see this car make an apperence in Gran Turismo 6. I think its awesome he gets out there and actually races. Shows that he has a true passion for cars and racing and you can see some of that with the games he has created over the years. Very cool video and car. I wonder what the engine bay looks like. would love to make some of the same upgrades on my ISF

This IS looks awesome! Wish I could do a build like that. Although I'm surprised they only run 423HP, given that the RC F can make 460HP+ on what is basically the same engine under street conditions.

Rcf is a couple hundred pounds more than the ISF , it’s very odd every race I see of an RCF and ISF , it’s always the ISF winning .

@@rsgarage9078 With the same engine and pretty much the same powertrain, it's not really surprising that the lighter car wins. In fact, both cars use the same 2UR-GSE engine, the RC F just has a very slight increase in compression ratio. Given that it can archive much more power in street conditions, I'm surprised this engine isn't in the 500 HP range with the laxer noise and emission standards and higher quality fuel used in racing scenarios. Although the sign also says it has a 7-speed manual, which is clearly not the case, so the power figures might simply be off.

@@Sebb747 It is not the same engine. The engine code is deceiving. 472 HP vs 416 HP was achieved with a total redesign. The bottom end block is the same, but everything else was a total redesign. Lighter internals, forged valves, bigger throttle body, higher compression pistons raising the compression etc. That is why the engine parts are not swappable between ISF and RCF.

@@rsgarage9078 All depends. With mods, things change (more bolt on mods on the ISF vs stock RCF would favor ISF), but all things being equal there are races where RCF walks away due to much better power to weight ratio. This is one example kzbin.info/www/bejne/oabQhoeue5J4jNU
