I think the pills might've been sleeping pills. A lot of people have said that he might be walking around at night, and he might be taking those pills to stop that. Also, some people were wondering whether or not Section 6 were fully aware of his physical state, and I think at the very least Yanagi is. She might be not letting him slack off too much so he doesn't have to spend too much time by himself. They pretty clearly link Harumasa to Thanatos here (the ethereal enemy) who also uses a bow, dashing and slashing attacks Last thing, I saw one theory which states that Section 6 is representative of the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse Soukaku - obviously "Famine" - she is constantly hungry Yanagi - "War" she was quite literally a soldier in a war, and was the one who brought it to it's end, which might be contradictory, but I think that's fine. "War" also rides a red horse, which is basically a shade of pink if you wanna stretch it, and uses a long sword. Miyabi - "Death" - pretty straightforward she brings quick and instant death to every enemy she faces (named thanatos in greek) Harumasa - "Plague/Pestilence" This is pretty clearly linked to his illness and bad physical health, along with the white crows in his trailer, which match the description of Plague as riding a white horse, and who also uses a bow and arrow, spreading plague arrows everywhere. *This is one of the interpretations of the four horsemen, the other replaces plague with conquest

Something to note: In the second run of waking up, Harumasa already has his choker on possibly alluding to that it’s happening in the same night. I’m lowkey hoping for something dark like he’s occasionally turning into an ethereal and unconsciously murdering people, just to wake up back at home.

So sorry this comment is so long, I’m a bit of a yapper 😅 What I also like about this Demo is that it also fleshes out Yanagi as a character more as well. At first I thought Yanagi was just waking up Harumasa from slaking off, but now it’s deeper than that. She’s strict but she lets him take breaks when he desperately needs to, but at the same time she doesn’t let him slack off too much, almost as a way to keep his mind busy from the trauma he’s experienced. I highly doubt Yanagi wants Harumasa to be by himself too often, as he could have a traumatic nightmare while nobody is around in the office, which could potentially lead to Harumasa doing some not so good things. As for Harumasa as a character, It’s crazy how a four minute video can change your perspective on a character so much, he wears that choker to hide his scars, he’s not lazy, but rather he sleeps so much at work because he’s sleep deprived from staying awake all night due to his nightmares. And what hurts me the most is his personality, the very well known ‘super joyful and funny character who hides all their suffering behind a smile’, I thought he was just a funny guy, but looks like most of us were fooled by his facade, even after learning about the fact that he takes meds I still thought he was just a super optimistic guy. But now I can see that it’s more of a coping mechanism, the funniest ones are commonly the most depressed, which is super sad.

As a dude who normally pulls 90% only females in Genshin and HSR - I LOVE HARUMASA. Even before this Trailer I found him interesting and made him my next "must pull", because I just love bow-related playstyles.. But AFTER this trailer... oooh boi!

Lighter's trailer may have been disappointing, but his EP was *really* good. Definitely recommend watching it if you haven't already, gives some good backstory on him. I really like the EP format ZZZ has been doing, a music video and original song feels like a fresh take on character hype videos. I hope Harumasa gets one.

It didn’t show anything new about the character or give us more insight on how they think or act. All the trailer did was just say “lighter is so cool and handsome” which is stuff we already know. Notice how his EP did much better viewership wise.

I was really surprised how dark and depressing Harumasa's backstory is. I'm really happy that we'll get him for free, because I got really interested in him now, but I can only afford to pull on one banner, and I still want Miyabi more than him. Oh, and you're right, they really like to give their characters more depth by giving them an appropriate background. With one notable exception: Burnice didn't need a depressing past, she got a brainrot video instead (that worked well enough I guess)

I recommend you watch the Lighter EP. It seems you only watched the lighter demo. Since the main lighter trailer is the EP. If the demo disappointed you, that's probably bcs you haven't watched the EP.

The "please no" I think was Harumasa actually murdering a girl; and he can't get over it. Which is why we keep seeing the same imagery related to her. Harumasa is the ZZZ equivalent to a Werewolf; he transforms without knowing and does untold amounts of carnage; he just wakes up in his bed with pills on-hand. Harumasa has likely killed many innocent people without his knowledge.

As they are currently there to establish a Presence in the Area to ensure the Various Levels of Leadership all do their Jobs, they are to remain in the Area of Henderson, Nevada by the Hoover Dam while the Air Contingent is Stationed at Nellis Air Force Base to the North of Northern Las Vegas. Should Civil Unrest Arise, They will Match into California and make a Beeline for the City of Angels that Los Santos from Grand Theft Auto V is based on known only as Los Angeles. They'll enter through the Small, Unincorporated Community of Nipton by the California-Nevada State Border, South towards the Dagget and Barstow Area at which point they'll be right on Route 66and have basically a Clear shot to San Bernardino and eventually Los Angeles itself.
