I just thought of a trap base design involving compounds. You see, when you place a gate, and wall in your base, you will also place a wall in front of the gate, what if you don't make it flush with the gate, but with that wall instead? To top it off, an external TC at the entrance of this gap with a shotgun, a heartbeat sensor to open the gate, and a turret just in case.
