Very clever design! I use a strandberg for a travel guitar since it easily fits into a carry-on bag or backpack with the neck removed from the body, and the spark mini amp. Takes a couple minutes to install the screws and tune the strings back up.

The price is completely insane, and before anyone replies to this, let me explain. This is, according to the reviews I’ve read, a very good guitar, made in America, plek’d, made of high quality components, with a pretty complicated looking, exclusive folding mechanism…when I say the price is insane, I mean it’s insane that they managed to make and sell this for the price that they did. If this guitar was 3-4 grand, I wouldn’t bat an eye, but it’s 1800 bucks. I genuinely don’t know how they managed that, but I’m glad they did. This is 100% going in my letter to Santa, right at the top

I get you with the weight thing but as a carry luggage bag Id go for lighter as a selling point, just me though. Really interested in the donner, steinburger and this thing looks mad!!

This looks like a great take on travel guitars. The fact that it folds and has a headstock is a plus but personally it's not my thing. If you absolutely need a guitar while traveling, a rectangular shaped case shouldn't be an issue. Especially if you're traveling with a van 😀
@Cherynobyl Жыл бұрын
More of an "air travel' guitar for sure. I know pilots and others who go international will be stoked
@JosePineda-jn8jk Жыл бұрын
@@Cherynobyla few players I know actually went headless for the ease of travel. They said they had more success with even being able to bring the guitar into the plane because it is so small by comparison. This is just the next level lol
@wy5628 Жыл бұрын
Tilt back headstock kills this. Will still be WAY more likely to break than if they had just done with a similar sized music man headstock shape. What a shame.

I have looked for a travel guitar for years and nothing seems to be good enough... and the day before I put money down on a really nice custom headless Keisel Vader, I saw this on the last day of 2O24 NAMM! I'm not sorry... even though I spent about $1000 more on it... though this thing is pretty interesting!!!

I would buy a regular guitar with that boy style it has a classic vibe but has it's own vibe.

Actually it looks like the body shape is inspired by D'angelico Deluxe Atlantic. That's the first guitar that came to my mind when i watched the video.

Can it be played in the folded position?
@Alex_Martz Жыл бұрын
1,800 dollars for that? For that money you can get a Kiesel Zeus or a 2nd hand Strandberg and those fit everywhere even on airplanes

In a airplane? Can you bend them?

@@Dami1rush No need to bend them! They fit in any overhead compartment on any airplane, I know it for a fact as I have both

@Alex_Martz Yup... finally gave up trying to find a "good" travel guitar and ordered a Kiesel Vader headless... I'll have it in a couple months... and pretty sure I'll have no regrets! 🤘😎🎸

@@MusicTherapyLaz Great, I have a Kiesel Leia which is their smallest model and it fits perfectly in any overhead compartment

If you ever have the chane to check out our guitar, please do! It often gets compared to the best brands as far as quality and playability. No more worrying about someone damaging your guitar by cramming their bag on it in the overhead or paying to carry it on since some airlines now charge for overhead use. The Ascender qualifies as a personal item and fits under an airline seat.

Neck shape? The Journey is listed as thick C, What did these guys decide to go with?
@ciariguitars Жыл бұрын
Our guitars have a very comfortable soft C profile with a 12" radius. We PLEK our necks before shipping as well. They play great. Thanks!

Yes, we offer two models. Both are professional quality, stage ready guitars made in our Nashville shop by the best luthiers on the planet. $1599 for the Ascender P90 Solo and $1799 for the Ascender Standard loaded with Seymour Duncan 59s. Thanks!

Personally, I have never seen the point of a "travel" guitar. If I am traveling and want to play guitar, I just take one of my regular, full size guitars. You're still going to need an amp, etc. If space were that much of an issue, I simply wouldn't take a guitar... but that's just me.
@ciariguitars Жыл бұрын
Understood. Our guitars are designed to fit under an airline seat as a personal item. Guitars in the overhead bin can incurr additional charges on some airlines as well as risk being damaged by passengers cramming their bags on top of them.

Honestly not horrible though. A littler more than half the price of a Les Paul Standard, which, for something with this quality, and that crazy mechanism, isn’t too bad
