@@robertstoner728nah man. Nitro is the way. So much fun to run. I came from running xmaxx,kraton 6s. Outcast 8s. Wr8 flux. Super Baja Rey and I just got my First gas Rc n love it. I find running my electrics so boring now.

Got this set up last Saturday. 1st time out the plastic drive train bearing melted with the 3s Lipo battery (about 50 degrees outside. Don't trust the auto shutdown). Would recommend upgrading to the aluminum bearing and adding cooling fan and heat sink fan. Got those upgrades today and have not had any issues since. This thing is fast and has agile handling but I would do the upgrades before even doing a test run.

This is a great review. I had the originally rally and I found different ires, like most cars, made it easier to control and drive.

I’m thinking about picking one of these up tomorrow but I’m also thinking about the BL-2S variation to save some money. I already have a mix of vehicles that are XL-5 and VXL systems and I also have a spare VXL system that I could throw in it if I bought the BL-2S one, but on the other hand I’d like to try the new BL-2S system. Sorry if that sounds confusing, lol. 😂

The vxl doesn’t have any motor thermal protection. The only traxxas models that do have motor thermal protection are the ones with standard telemetry motor temp sensors. I believe that’s limited to the x trucks, xo-1, and ultimates.

Not a huge deal, but when you buy a Traxxas start-up tool kit you get one of those double sided wrenches with the 4 and 8 mil on it. It's a pretty cool little kit. There's an Eco Power kit that's exactly the same if you don't want it to say Traxxas all over it. Not hating on Traxxas. I'd love to have a car like that.

Even with the BL-2S version, I still opted for the Titan 12t version JUST BECAUSE of the Body. I'm about to pull the trigger on a second body, just so I have one in display condition. I do love the Rally. I ordered a HW combo at the same time and only put 1 pack through the Titan before switching to the 10bl120/3700kv combo. It's a blast. I also changed it over to the Metal Center diff instead of the slipper clutch. I do agree that there is way too much body rub on the ground. Still not quite sure of the most elegant want to overcome this without either ruining a body, or making the body height look goofy.

This is a rally car. This thing is made for sliding around in loose dirt. I think you would enjoy it much more taking it to a baseball diamond or similar type of area. Something smooth but loose.
