When Chinchilla sings you feel her. That emotional ramp in this song makes me well up. I believe she was signed and doing some big supporting roles to some bigger names. But she is now independent and sounding very happy about that. WE just have to launch her to where she should be. Go girl!

What I love about the songs she does with Ren is that he lets her shine. He knows her voice is what makes the song. Especially in How to be me he sings much lower than a lot of his other songs. It just shows the depth of both of theirs musical knowledge and just sheer talent! So good!

Chinchilla is Awesome and clearly a true artist that should be celebrated beyond the corporation machine that is the music industry. I would say the nearest artist you could slightly compare would be Kate Bush and her vocals on things like Wuthering heights, Babooshka, and running up the hill etc with the way she manipulated her vocals into more than music and into a mini show.

I'm happy that because of the viral effect of Ren's song "Hi Ren" and how it translated in growth for his other music, he was able to shed light on some artists that are featuring with him that he met during his years of busking in the UK. Those relatively unknown artists deserve way more likes than many of the current "artists" who are selling their product and are popular mostly because of their connections with big producers and mass media. I am not saying that they are not talented but I think that the world deserves more originality in music and less of the same recycled beats and by-products of big corporate interests. Big artists can stay and they can do their thing, but the market should open the doors to less famous artists who are more risky for their business model because they come up with something new but that, I am sure, the public would like for their originality and talent.

Can I introduce you to another artist, one you probably haven't heard of - Romain Axisa, who plays guitar with Ren's group The Big Push, is amazingly talented in his own right. Try "Love Without Feelings(live)"; after seeing that I'm confident you'll want to hear more from him. He's French, you'll probably pick that up for yourselves with some words he sings. Btw, the CC's on this song are terrible so maybe don't use them? For example in the second line Romain sings "no sheets on the bed" and the CC's say "No shits on the bed", Funny but not quite what he wants to say really.

Chinchilla is incredible, as always. A small correction needed on your reference to Chalk Outlines though. It's Ren and/featuring Chinchilla. It's a Ren song. He wrote it, arranged it, produced it, made/performed the music for it, as well as providing an amazing lead vocal. Chinchilla was the guest vocalist. Ditto for 'How to be Me'. That's not to take away from Chinchilla, she's done some amazing stuff with Ren and her solo music is fantastic too and she has an incredible voice, I just think it's always best to get attributions right. :)
