I am wondering, do you need the app to operate the bike? What is the display for that is with the bike for?

Hey there, you need to initially set your riding mode with the app, after which you can operate the bike without it

can you lock the bike from your phone and someone not be able to turn it on without you unlocking it from the app ?

You can turn the bike on and off with the app, but there's no lock option. However, you can set a password for the display to prevent anyone else from turning it on.

Great bike to pedal! And safe to lock up with the GPS tracker. You may want to get a shorter stem but try it first.
