When you fish 5 days a week, fishing somewhere "new", is a very rare occurrence.. Unless you travel, which I try not to. Luckily, my buddy Dillon, messaged me and said he found a decent little urban creek spot, and wanted me to come out, and "test the waters"... Pun intended. So boo and I did just that, and it PAID OFF BIG TIME!!! PAAA POWWW!!!

Josh,no shit, I live in Ohio and have been creek fishing,get this,outta frustration after watching a video where that pike tried to eat your crappie off the top,I said what the hell and threw a green walmart popper and in the last 4days 3 trips(short ones)9 fish 8on popper 1 on live bait!! 47 yrs old,never heard of top water fishing in December,in my life.These fish came because of your video and I will now Always give the popper a shot when nothing else is doing!!! 3 species, large, small and striped fish, meanest bastards in North America.. I've changed techniques,quite a bit since scribing to 🐖 Patrol and a select few others... So for what it's worth,thanks dude..

Nice video man! Ever fish South Central Iowa? How about North Central Iowa? My favorites here are Otter Creek, and cRAZy spillway on Middle River between Winterset and Patterson, IA. North Central Iowa has my two favorite rivers in the world to fish-the Winnebago and the Shell Rock. Caught 5 pike in three hours wading during a spring warmup in December ‘19, it was the best afternoon of my life.

Shit first time ever we lost a rod happened this weekend ray fishing and I’ve been fishing my whole life! My mom slipped on a rock on a drag screaming bite and fell kicking the pole while it was pulling out the hard drag and off a it went into the deep blue We were all way more concerned with her falling then the pole She was pissed because she lost the pole but ended having a good day hooking another and catching a keeper flounder Keep slaying bud! 👊🏻

We use goldeye all the time on the red river in north dakota and get alot of big channel cats up to and over 20 pounds. The heads are my favorite bait second being frogs.

Hey man you and Ben should make your way to Statesville Nc there are all kinds of places to fish here and also there is a lake not to far that holds some Monster Catfish. My uncle does catfish tournaments and he has caught some monsters on the lakes around here. The main lake is lake norman but there are several different lakes,ponds,creeks and rivers. If you make you way this way hit me up.
