I always have cheats on in my survival... sounds bad, right? But fires do happen and I feel no regrets doing a '/weather rain' command. But I never do the 'noFireTick" one except in Creative. Sometimes, if I know there's only a possible path, I will go a bit further away and start cutting down multiple trees that the fire may spread to. Fire is one of the most annoying things and it's probably why I don't use much wood in survival builds. Cobblestone builds are beneficial to my mental health. I use 4.7.1 Complementary, with Bare Bones texture pack, with outlines on [alternative outline strength of 4.00, alternative set to promo, thickness of 1], and a few settings to make the green pop more similar to the green that you would see in promotional art. I also don't use foliage shadows & use pixelated shadows 16x. Since I use Bare Bones, it just makes sense to me to use pixelated shadows. I don't like using the shader's clouds so I have low vanilla skybox brightness settings. Turning off the clouds made the sky way too cyan for me & I had to change the brightness so it was more blue.To go with Bare Bones more, I have vanilla-ish water. 1.5 bumpiness, size of 650, I also messed with the noise multipliers. I am waiting on some of my mods to update to really invest time in 1.20. I am not sure how many have so far. I use Forge w/ WorldEdit, Xaero's World Map, Xaero's Minimap, and a mod that adds vertical slabs & vertical stairs. They are probably updated as I'm typing this. I figured I'd give it a few days. Bare Bones already has a 1.20 update tho. I did check on that. Without the help of my shaders, the cherry leaves just look too desaturated in both Bare Bones & Default. [maybe mizuno too? I use it occasionally bc I like the slab combinations when you stack some slabs together to make all new texture blocks] update: Forge 1.20 installed, Xaero World & Minimap works but prerelease and 1.19.4 of optifine crashes Minecraft before it opens. Sad.

Hmm... Well, you could have dug up some dirt and put it in the lava to get rid of it but I guess the panic didn't let you think about smothering the lava before putting out the fire in the trees. Or at least going around the trees to make sure all the other trees around them were disconnected so the fire couldn't spread. 😅 Still fun though. 😁👍

You actually can get coal with a wooden pickaxe BUT, BUT it doesn't give you as much. It will give you like one coal when a stone will give you more out of just one.
