Regarding the children giggling: It's a mod called "Eyes in the Darkness". Basically it spawns ghosts that try to sneak up on you. But as the mod's name implies, you can only see the eyes of the ghosts, which can be hard to spot, so they also make a giggling sound to warn you that they are closeby. The jumpscare that follows the giggling means the ghosts got Swayle.

I sort of had an idea for a new dweller that may strike fear for some people, now I shouldn’t call it a “dweller” since it would not behave like one. I was thinking of a dweller that would walk around the caves holding a lantern, it has a crude, makeshift sword holstered at its waist, and a large bow and quiver on its back, upon spotting the player, it will slowly and cautiously set its lantern on the ground, if the player remains, it will either begin backing away, or draw either its sword or bow and go on the attack. if surprised by you catching off guard, it will throw its lantern at you and either scurry off incredibly fast, or draw its sword and begin attacking. I got this idea because I wanted a somewhat “intelligent” threat in the sense that it can do anything the player can, but like an actual animal, not immediately start screaming and charging at you. I have zero modding experience so I’m hoping someone out there can bring the idea to life for me. As for how it looks, that’s entirely for them to decide.
