The US and MIJ Signature Series EVH Wolfgangs are the only ones with thick maple tops. The Indonesian WG and Mexican Specials only have maple veneers on the figured top models.

Just to add to the content... the fine tuners on the Floyd are there to adjust the tuning after one clamps the locking nut on the neck. The clamping can cause some strings to go a bit sharp or flat. It is not meant to adjust for large tuning variations. A good working Floyd on a guitar with stable wood will NOT go out of tune anytime in the near future. Also, I believe that the Floyd on the EVH is one of Korean origin because to Eddie's ear, this version sounds better. Finally, EVH USA guitars are made by Jackson USA.
