I was among the crowd during SB19's performance on the Wish USA. It was super cold and Cafe 86's coffee machine broke! The people couldn't have hot beverages! But all is well, the boys set the place on fire 🔥 👍. We were there from 3 pm.. BGYO sang first then BINI. SB19 sang around 10:30 pm...and it was crazy cold 🥶 yet... People didn't leave until their van left.

Yes you’re right! The sound is so raw that the artist can’t hide or fake if it’s really live or lip sync. SB19 is so powerful when it comes to live performances, whatever environment. They nailed it again!

When I first listened to this Wish Bus USA performance, I decided that this is the best MAPA live performance ever because of the rawness. It cannot get more REAL than this. And the fact that they've added more flavor to this (shoutout to Justin and Josh), makes me feel like it's a new song although I might be that 1M in the 78M current views of the lyric video. With Ken and Pablo adding more depth and texture to the song makes it more raw-sounding and pure and therefore, more personal to the feels. However, Stell, just sounds the same everywhere. Waleska, you are right. He is flawless! Like he was naturally autotuned. WTH! That prolonged high note at the end in between Pablo's ad libs was just crazy good! We can't wait for you to check out their unreleased song NYEBE which they've performed in all of their concert legs. That song is a WHOLE GOOSEBUMPS WITH A MELODY. Freaking eargasmic and cry-inducing so you better prepare yourselves.

Great analysis! Thank you so much for recognizing Josh's role in the song. Although he's more of a rapper than a singer, his parts in the harmony are indeed one of the more difficult. There are so many version of this song and although, they are arranged differently and hit you differently. I never tire of them. My favorite is "The Forte Charity Concert," and the other is their virtual concert, where they're family joinrd them on stage. Love this reaction, this performance was a perfect Introduction to SB19.

In a recent interview, Pablo spilled that they have plans for their second album called Pagtatag which translates to establishing. He also spoiled that they will have a third album with the title Simula at wakas. This translates to beginning and end.

We noticed the same thing, this is so raw which I appreciate SB19 more! They sounded so good even in the most raw version of 'MAPA' and the fact that they even made some changes with the original version is like damn it's so good!

I think the thing with SB19's growth is that, at the start, they were somewhat constrained by having to use music written for them by Korean songwriters. Don't get me wrong, I love some of the songs on that first album, but I think that when they were finally allowed to write music for themselves during the What era, they really showed what they were truly capable of. And now, the sky's the limit.

I agree! They were somewhat constrained, but I want to put into perspective that back then, Pablo may have considered his skills to still be lacking in terms of composing, as he had no background in music in terms of he didn't professionally studied it at school. The experience of working with their Korean producer/composer is definitely one of the building blocks to his knowledge in composing to this day, and Hanggang sa Huli will always be one of my top favorite ballads from them. But now that he has learned more, experienced more, his skills would just continue to grow, and I am *so* excited on what more he could create, whether for the group or his solo project. So yeah, those years can be considered as a temperance of sort, to create what Pablo is today as a songwriter/composer. The other members are learning too with their own experiences, and I am eagerly awaiting for them to show their own song making skills! Ken/Felip had also started, three more to go! 😉 PS: I believe Pablo also said that he enrolled in Simon Servida's class for composing, though I forgot the exact name of the program. 😅

Exactly why What? made be from casual to stan fan, with newfound respect for their own brand of music, the powerful message it conveyed, the creative freedom to interpret it visually through the MV, the resourcefulness of that whole project among others shook me. It strayed away (or evolved) from cutesy GITZ. Pagsibol IS their growth. Period.

I think only two songs were from Korean composers. Tilaluha, their debut single was wholly composed by Pablo while Go Up was from Korean composer but Pablo changed the lyrics from love song into inspirational song. Hanggang sa Huli was just translated in Tagalog by Pablo from another Korean composer.

@@mupamtv486 I believe most of their songs from the GITZ album, the melody was from a Korean producer/composer. But all the lyrics were created by Pablo, with the help of the members. To clarify, in Go Up's earlier version the lyrics were made to be a love song by Pablo, but then they (most probably Pablo with the members' decision too) decided to change it to be an inspirational song about the group's struggles. Also correction, Hanggang sa Huli's lyrics is not a translation from a Korean composer. It is Pablo's own original lyrics (probably with the members' input too).

@@Eva_Reyes I think you have to correct Cashual Chuck because all the infos I've shared to to you was based on his videos. Hanggang sa Huli was a an original Korean song long before sb19 was formed. It was sung by 3 member Korean boy group which was disbanded but under ShowBt. Tatang Robin introduced the boy group in Korea and brought them in the Philippines. Yet the group didn't make it. BTW, Charles Kim was involved when sb19 was formed and now still current manager of sb19 is a subscriber of Cashual Chuck vlog. Can you share me some links about your supposed to be "correct" info.?

The humble and unforgiving starting years of SB19 has prepared them for different and difficult circumstances: -performing w/o IEM for years -wardrobe malfunctions mid-performance due to maybe lack of proper styling, resulting to ill-fitting outfits -singing & dancing w/ only 3 mic -several live performances w/ bad audio system -performing a ballad right after a sing&dance performance -performing to an uninterested crowd -and my favorite, performing in a mall with only less than 10 people watching -and many more hardships we don't know of. Coming from a small company w/ minimal bugdet and almost 3 years of training (and continuous learning nowadays) having just raw talent, passion, and dedication brought SB19 to where they are now. These guys have laid their foundations and strengthened their backbones before going global. Also, always thankful to Waleska & Efra for seeing the boys' talents and for genuinely appreciating them. But I'm particularly happy with this vid since you were both excited with what they can do individually. 💙
