My suggestion that would make the retro corner better would be to put the posters in some sort of “frame” rather than the tape on posters. Otherwise, I think the rest looks great and I would love a space like this. Good job, Caleb!

Came to the comments to suggest the same thing. If you want to still keep it budget friendly, glue dots to hang them, then you can use washi tape to make rectagular "frames" around them. It will give it a more polished look. Washi tape is similar to painter's tape so it won't ruin your walls. It's often used for craft projects but you can use it for decorating walls and furniture.

While they look better in a frame, just with tape looks more retro & nostalgic. As a kid I had so many posters with just tape lol

If you want to display games and their covers. buy a spinning shelf you can display 2-3 games per shelf and they have like 5-6 shelves per row so you can easily display 20-24 games at any point and when you get tired you can just spin the shelf and display a different set.

Yeah nostalgia is a hell of a drug and people hate to admit it boils down to that. I had to learn to accept even my deep love of things when I was a kid, is because of nostalgia I still enjoy it. I will play an old Pokemon game any day. Yet I struggle with new ones. It's because those old games are like magic to me. Surreal. It takes me back to when I was in the US and my mom was still around.

Recommend, don’t knock it purely to nostalgia. Quite a fallacy that I used to make that took me awhile to realize, older games are literally created differently than newer games and this really came to fruition when I started playing old game cube games that I had NEVER played before. It was at this point playing the GameCube fire emblem game for the first time that I realized for whatever technical reasons, I just really love games from the years 2000-2010 regardless of having played them before. Every time I’ve bought a newer switch game or Xbox or whatever, I can’t bring myself to really play them but then I pick up this Fire emblem game and drop 20 hours in my first play through that I can’t wait to play again on max difficulty when I have time. Don’t knock your interests up to simply nostalgia, they might just genuinely be better in your opinion, as was for me.

10:49 I think what pissed off a lot of people about the Gamecube Gambit was we all went on this wild journey through multiple videos seeing this awesome Gamecube collection being built and the way it was presented we were all thinking it was going to be kept for a while not just sold off a chunk of the collection staight after the challenge ended.

Riff....'I don't play videogames' line legit made me laugh out loud. That right there earned my subscription....and I don't really subscribe to much. 3 maybe 4 things total. Reminded me of an Airplane or naked gun kind of line. Only one guy, but I think you'd only gain a larger following by adding more of that kind of fun into the videos. Beyond that, just wanted to say I appreciate you. Good job man.

Its do-able for sure. I am am mainly an arcade guy. I have 18 working original arcade games in my basement. I funded that hobby by buying arcade1up arcades cheap, modding them, and selling them for profit. I also buy non-working original arcades and ones with cosmetic issues, and fix them up. I have been doing this for about 6 years now. I keep a spreadsheet, and I am net positive cash on the whole deal. You can make your hobby free if you work at it, and for me, working on arcade games is not work - its fun :)

A legends ultimate is one of the BEST items you could possibly have in a game room. Getting rid of it would be an incredible mistake. You can add CoinOps or OneSauce, and play games from any console up through PlayStation 2. Light guns, pinball games, it’s never ending. Or connect a computer or Nintendo switch to the hdmi input. Getting rid of a legends ultimate is the dumbest thing you can do, unless you know how to build your own arcade/pinball cabinets with the software and roms etc..
