Hearing you say that Y strap adjustment was life changing, I think I should find a chiropractor and set up an appointment, I feel like I need my spine decompressed very badly. Thanks for sharing this video You're always #1 metal detector in my book and big inspiration for what I started doing in my videos!

Hey man! Good too hear from you. I hope you've been good. I'll have to stop by your channel and see what you've been up to. I definitely recommend getting the Y-strap done, even if it's just for an adjustment. It's a great reset for the body. The first time my neck popped in about 20 different places. The difficult part is most chiropractors don't do it, and you usually have to travel a long distance to find someone. I'm very thankful I found someone 1 1/2 hours away who has been in the business since the 80's and really knows what he's doing.

How about a discussion on how to heal broken challenging relationships between family and friends. It would be interesting to have it be a 2 sided series. looking at it from the perspective of the one who was hurt and the perspective of the 1 who did the hurt. Or maybe no one was responsible, possibly just a lack of communication. And put forth ideas on how to move forward and heal, forgive, accept forgiveness, basicly how to restore lost fellowship. I think that would yield fruit for growth and restoration. As you may very well know, in these days, relationships have been strained beyond normal expectations, healing and restoration is very much needed for both parties.
@JDsVarietyChannel3 ай бұрын
Hi uncle Rick. So if I understand your comment correctly, your suggestion is for me to host a reality TV show style family intervention, that you would personally participate in? I don't have any interest in such drama. Your comment was vague, so I'm not sure if you were mainly talking about me, or about another family member. I cannot speak for others, only myself. Regardless, I believe making veiled public comments about your family is highly inappropriate, and I'm trying to use the kindest words possible. If you are talking about me, just know I have forgiven you long ago for anything I may have held against you. I also hope that you have forgiven anyone who may have trespassed against you, as the bible is clear that those who do not forgive will not be forgiven.
@rickshawley76833 ай бұрын
@JDsVarietyChannel not what I meant at all. You read way too much into it. Didn't mean a reality show. I meant for you to do a study from both sides objectively, do a discussion from both sides. The person that was hurt standpoint and the person that caused the hurt standpoint. How would each individual act or respond? Or feel. Then how should they go forward. I think it is something that is needed today because, we are all guilty of hurting people and being hurt. Kapieshta
@rickshawley76833 ай бұрын
I did want to say one thing. Your double standard is very apparent. You accuse me of making veiled statements about family, an assumption on your part. But then you make an open statement about family on your assumptions. So it's not okay for me, but it's okay for you. ?
@rickshawley76833 ай бұрын
Since you opened door to airing family details openly. You said in your video that you got neck strapping. And it seemed to really help you. You had to know that I was having a lot of trouble with my neck and neck surgery and all the issues that I had. It would have really been nice if you would have maybe considered me worth a phone call, and told me about it. Maybe I could have tried it. I would have told you 💯
@JDsVarietyChannel3 ай бұрын
The first part of my comment was a question, which means by definition I was asking for clarification if needed. Then I said I wasn't interested, which was considering I was understanding your suggestion correctly. This was opening the door for you to clarify. It's not making a statement about your character. The end of your comment states "As you may very well know, in these days, relationships have been strained beyond normal expectations, healing and restoration is very much needed for both parties." Given the nature of your message, and the end statement regarding "both parties" implies that you are making a specific reference to two parties, not a topic in general, which is why I kindly suggested that bringing up family issues publicly was not a proper. I believe any reasonable person reading your comment would conclude this. If you simply misspoke an explained yourself poorly, I would have gladly listened to your clarification and responded accordingly, but in stead of clarifying and waiting for me to respond (which I would have done favorably and kindly) you decided to accuse me of ill will. Under the banner of my question, telling you that I believe something is "highly inappropriate" is still not accusing you of something. It's under my initial context, and framed in a very kind manner, trying to deescalate that I didn't want to talk about it, based on what I thought you were trying to imply. My message was focused on making it clear that I hold nothing against you and have forgiven you for anything that may have happened in the past. I extended an olive branch, and then you went on to explain how disappointed you are that I didn't call you, under the assumption that "I had to know" . I don't remember much about my childhood regarding any medical conditions you have. Simply put, the thought this treatment could help you never crossed my mind once. Even If I made an improper assumption, you responded with one of your own. There's so much irony in your response it could be viewed as gaslighting. You make it incredibly difficult for me to desire to communicate with you. I make one comment that you immediately become defensive over, and then proceed to insinuate that I'm a hypocrite (which is what a double standard means) . I made my comment public for this very reason, so others can view from a different vantage point should this conversation go sour. I was truly hoping it would go differently. My original comment was sent in good faith, and you could have calmly clarified your intentions. I'm very aware of your previous comment when I covered the Steve Lawson scandal, reminding me that everyone sins, and for the one without sin to cast the first stone (which I responded to very kindly, giving you the benefit of the doubt) A very interesting first thing to say to someone you haven't spoken to in a long time. Thank-you for making it clear publicly that you think I am both inconsiderate toward you, and also a hypocrite with a double standard. I do truly appreciate your willingness to state it openly, so I know where you stand. If that is who I am, God will be my judge. I still forgive you, and please know I don't hate you. I just think it's best that we go separate ways for the sake of peace. Circling back to your original comment. It seems odd to me that someone desiring a study series on reconciliation would be so eager to escalate an interaction. You make it very difficult for me to conclude that you are being genuine. I hope I am wrong. Anyhow. If you have neck/back issues. I highly recommend looking into Y-strap adjustments. It's far better than inversion tables for decompression, and I hope it can help you find some pain relief.

I remember you mentioning it on one of the lives. Awhile back, you also mentioned possibly visiting people to go treasure hunt with them. Is that anything that is still a possibility? I could see you being like a consultant, where you could visit with people and give them tips and tricks on metal detecting. Doing more traveling. You had mentioned doing that and it seemed like it would suite you. :-) I do enjoy the woods and back packing. :-) I am a Christian and also my college degree is in Religion (learning of all different ones). Hey! Good to to see you. Yeah, I never addressed the relationship in a video update. I did in a comment, but not everyone saw it. Shortly after I made the video about it, we decided to go separate ways before meeting in person due to some important differences that came up. I don't regret making the video, because it was done in good faith, even if the result did make me look a little naive. That was around the time my initial rehab was going on, so I likely would have been gone from KZbin anyway. Regarding the meeting up with people, it's up in the air. When/if I get back to traveling I'm not sure what my focus will be, but I'll likely have my gear with me regardless. So we'll see! As always, thanks for the support. :)

I feel for you. Definitely look up the Y-strap on KZbin. Naturally, I don't know the nature of your issues, but I'd definitely talk to someone about it and see if they think it could possibly help you. Many people have compression issues and don't realize it. Even if it can't fully fix your problems, it can still provide life changing relief through posture correction. If you've had surgeries, they would have to make a determination if you can have it done (usually it's not an issue) . Part of my problems were from a bad fall on my tailbone. If you're injury was vertical in nature, there's a high probability it could help you.

Still have not found a civil war bullet. Sold them to a fellow detectorist for $300.00, along with a couple other finds. Learned from the buyer that the style of buckle was from the 1850's before the war.
