Korean viewer here! We use the same standard format as Japan (just the new packs are about 1 month late), and can confirm that this deck is busted AF We usually use the grubbin from Unbroken Bonds as well, its attack can be useful in some situatuons Some decks started to run mew(bench barrier) with stealthy hood (Unbroken Bonds) just to counter this deck, so vikavolt started to run a single copy of tool scrapper… such a fun meta

I've been running this deck in expanded recently and it straight up works. I can easily beat most meta decks like Volcarona, Tsareena, and even ADP. Once it sets up, it almost always wins because I just always win the prize trade.
@gabrielcastillo97453 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's pretty fun. Most decks in expanded spam the good old Dedenne GX or Tapu Lele GX wich means you can almost always win in three turns. I wish this could be used in Stantard, it would be sooooo good against Mew

I can't believe I had all the cards to build this deck and haven't done it yet I just went 12 of 15. This deck is totally busted in expanded. I have yet to play someone else playing this deck. But I'm sure after all the events I'm winning and I'm winning so quickly, This deck is easily gonna be all over expanded soon.

They have different expansions "legal" to use. I'm sure a quick google search will aid a bit more.

Japan is allowed to use older cards than the US is in their standard format, and some of the cards in this deck are older than the cutoff for US standard but not too old for Japan standard

I don't have the charjabug with the special ability, is there anyway to drop 4 of them and maybe try with the flaaffy engine? And use speed energy and normal lightning energy? Not sure if this would work 🤔
@GavstxR3 жыл бұрын
Since you have discard 2 lightning energy you could always use flaaffy ability to power up another vikavolt on the bench and then retreat, since they have no retreat cost.

I don't hate GX/EX/Dynamax cards... But I refuse to use them as I think there is more fun to be had in using traditional basics for useful moves and Evolutions to pull off some good plays. This deck is a good example of Evolution + hard hitting attack. One of the decks i built and then retooled Is a mono grass deck. It runs Life Forest with tangrowth (hefty whip), Leavanny for Coordinate, kricketot for bug hunch, and Dustox to help clean up. Dustox has alpha plus i think (if this pokemon knocks out another pokemon then take one more prize card.) Wind shard hits for 50 in the bench so basic snipe for the win :) Old but still fun to play.

@ephus_3 жыл бұрын
Japan gets cards released earlier than us so they have newer cards than fusion strike right now. Their current standard format goes back to team up minus a few cards so their format is a lot bigger than our standard right now. I don’t know if they have a rotation schedule or not.
@aiiikk43573 жыл бұрын
@@ephus_ i heard asia rotation would be set in next mid january or early february, and that format not for only japanese but for asia because my region (indonesia) had a same format as japanese. Sorry for bad english
@ephus_3 жыл бұрын
@Aiiikk interesting. Hopefully one day all nations will have the same standard format.
@andrewp67383 жыл бұрын
It's also worth noting, cards are released in different sets outside of Japan. For instance, in the West, we had cards like Tapu Koko Prism Star in Team Up, but that guy was released before Tag Bolt, the first Japanese Tag Team-era set. So while they mostly have our Tag Team-era cards (Team Up-on), they don't have anything with a B regulation mark which is a few dozen cards released in Team Up and on.
