I've been doing many kinds of art with acrylic for years and I have to say that most artists are too anal about what they use. There is always a way to make the paint be what you need/want it to be, in viscosity, flow, or whatever. I've learned over the last 50 years (truly) that paint is paint as long as it's acrylic. Some is too thick, some too thin, some not as pigmented ... but they're all acrylic and all water-based, which means you can make it whatever you like. Yes, sometimes it takes an expensive additive, but in that case, do you really need to use that particular paint for that particular project. After all, if you have a good (enough) quality combo of the primary colors as well as white and black, you can make whatever color you want. I've done pours with exterior house paint (and you get some cells if you use one that is mold and mildew resistant) and they've been fine. I know folks can get obsessed with cells, but that's not the end-all, be-all of pouring.

Thankyou for testing these paints. I'm not sure if that brand is available in Oz but the texture and mix seem very similar to the Mont Marte brand we have here in all the smaller outlets and department stores like Kmart. I use them quite a lot and find the only issue is with the lighter colours like yellow. I may need to get a better quality for them. Thankyou again for your insights.

Thanks for sharing. I just finished some paints and thought of buying new ones. I few days ago used floetrol you recommended and in found that after I used dryer to blow away, the paint was like a bit pull back to the original place, So when I checked it later on, it’s like some of my colors are gone. I’m thinking is it the base coat problem or floetrol? I notice by using floetrol the color is firm but only for using a big amount of the paints without blowing them away…..😅not sure you get what I mean…it’s hard to describe….

My girlfriend liked some of my stuff and bought me a hair dryer no pressure 😂 so i tried it and idk if it is not powerful enough or just paint to thick. Do i need to invest in flotral or just add more water etc. having trouble creating cells 2. But i am using cheap paint cheap canvases and glue . Your videos give the most details you really do help beginners. I need a recipe if you have a video you made already for my question lead me in that direction or if anyone of you reading knows please share . Thanks
