I still remember when I first played HSR, I planned on only getting off for the day, and then not feeling motivated/forgetting the game existed on my phone for like 5-6 months, and around the end of the jingliu banner, I did a single ten pull and got her as my first five-star. I didn't level or build her for like a week because I didn't know if she was good, I just saw limited banner with a cool blue ice chick, and went "Sure, why not? What's the worst that could happen, not get the character?" especially since I'm not one to usually look at a design and go "Oooh shiny new toy! me needy!" So I was both really surprised and kinda excited getting her. I have since gotten many more characters, including Acheron. To this day I don't know how good my luck is, because Jingliu came first ten pull, then Black Swan came first ten pull, and finally Acheron's lc came first ten pull (at 30 pity, but still) I would probably recommend for those who wish to remain f2p, to pick one character to save for, and if you want to get another character before them, try to limit how much you wish to pull for. (An example would be for me, I choose to only do single ten pulls for characters I'd not mind having, but would still skip mostly for the one I want. Cuz I got Black Swan in a single ten pull and then no Sparkle, and all that so I could get Acheron and her lc.. But if you want to spend like 40 pulls, go for it.) All this to say, Jingliu is worth it. Aventurine not so much, I think Fu Xuan would still be preferable for me. (I'm saving for her and firefly, despite not needing a third dps character, who cares.)

Do you even have aventurine? He is literally tied for best sustain while Jingliu is debatably 3rd, best Dps in the game, 4th after firefly, I would honestly say aventurine is worth it, Jingliu not so much because firefly, a destruction character is coming in 2.3 and her kit looks broken right now

I wasn't saying he was bad as a whole, but that I'd rather skip and save for Fu Xuan instead, I think I worded it wrong, but I meant for me personally he wasn't worth it. Plus, I think being tied doesn't mean he should be insta worth it if there's someone else just as good another person would like. Even with Jingliu falling off, that doesn't mean she's bad, some people may not like Firefly/don't know if they'll pull for her, if that's the case, then Jingliu is still worth it. Ultimately, any character is viable and "worth it" in the sense of clearing content, but it's dependent on the person. For me, it's Jingliu who'd be worth it, not Aventurine, for others, it's the opposite.
