THIS WAS A REAL TANK?! - Breda 501 in War Thunder - OddBawZ

The Breda 501 is an Italian Armoured Car at 4.0 Battle Rating. This 90mm cannon wielding maniac used to be amazing but due to volumetric changes and over pressure... it gets a really hard time!
The Breda 501 houses a 90mm cannon with a fierce velocity and not a lot of drop. The highest pen shell has 180g of TNT and the lower pen shell has 510g giving it a pretty devastating amount of one shot potential.
The chassis is fast but not very nimble and of course... the crew stick out all over the place so no one is safe from any sort of MG fire or artillery. I've even been killed by a shell that hit nowhere near me!

The breda was so fun when i was grinding it, when u got the best shell it slaps a looooooot of tanks like no tommorow. BUT i'm just on a struggle streak atm no matter what tank. But struggling with every M10 in the game, the slow turret traverse can get you killed a lot

22:32 thats because gaijin did an update where they said "a dead tank will still be on the map even after the player leaves the game" and they implemented it so stupidly that you cant see the tank but the hitbox is there.

it's a terrible vehicle that i love to play. No treads = no neutral turn and slow on mud/sand. Bouncy gun. HUGE BOX PEOPLE SEE from far away. Not slow but not super fast, IIRC. And the gun will GAIJIN YOU ALL THE TIME. It's 90mm but SOMEHOW it'll BOUNCE off the sherman front plate flat on. It's got two rounds, one with more pen, one with more filler. The more filler one SHOULD be more than enough but bounces all the time. So finally I watched a phly video and he mentions he takes the more pen round for just that reason and yeah, he's right. Also, if you spawn it anything but first vehicle, CAS will destroy you. Also, if you kill anyone? Congrats, they'll beline right for you out of bitterness and CAS you to death. Also, if you BOUNCE ANY SHOT, you are dead because you can't escape, can't hide, and can't fire twice in the time they aim. You will die to more KV-1 sprockets than you thought possible. Also the gun has so much recoil the whole vehicle moves.

The Italian 90mm machines, the Breda and the eight-shooter, used to be my go to vehicles when it came to Italy. Toss in the 102mm anti-ship plane and you could have yourself some really funny games. The Breda used to absolutely clap anything it looked at and I even got a kill with the rear machine gunners once. I am also fairly certain that I've even managed to get more than 8 kills with the eight-shooter at some point. I haven't played WT in over a year now though, so I have no idea, what state the game's in now.

I saw this video just before getting my Breda 501 so i was concerned that it would be a struggle bus. But its the exact opposite, this thing is amazing! I dont even have it spaded yet and ive had numerous ace games! Its a glass cannon but its a speedy boi so you can often show up where people dont expect. Kill one or two tanks then relocate at warp speed and next thing you know youve killed 6+ tanks. Just remember your reverse speed sucks so make sure you have an escape route you can use with the "W" key.

When I watch your videos the sounds cues are so clear and distinct. I play with my engine turned down and enemies turned up. But it doesn’t sound like that. Do you do something different?

Same for me in terms of visuals. On Odds screen it all looks so clear and enemies are so visible. Sometimes i feel like he is playing a different game. Must be the missing stress when not being in battle yourself that suddenly makes everything clearer.
