i feel that the only problem was leaving the spiny drop to the lakitu ai, maybe by dropping spinies with tracks would be better, they still deal damage to the player but if irc they pass through the ground

Since you have an Excel spreadsheet, you can sort the levels. Try looking at the levels with the most plays/likes/boos. Especially most boos, for content.

One of the overlooked aspects of the spreadsheet I see is that you can see a level's *boo total*, something that has heretofore been concealed from players. This is one of the best uncleared levels episodes in quite a long time. The reason a lot of levels in these kinds of videos are uncleared isn't some exotic reason, it's just 'uploaded within past week, hasn't had a chance to get discovered and played yet'. The old levels with exotic reasons is where the fun is, and where you find bizarre and interesting stories. 20:47 Now here, why put a pick-a-path (even if unintentional) in an otherwise-excellent level? You can jump up any of a number of those shafts, and depending on how the Thwomp travels back, most of them probably end in death. Granted if it's unintentional then there is no reason other than design lacking. Still not good, but outside of that a good level.

9:24 it’s actually possible to avoid getting hit twice by the Banzai and keep a mushroom (which I managed to do a couple times), but it’s really hard. Ultimately, I just got lucky after 10+ attempts to the final room, and simply managed to avoid getting RNGed (even though I was small lol)

That spreadsheet has only a very small part of the uncleared levels. There are almost 200,000 uncleared level just in 2019, so the list he has is quite incomplete.

The spreadsheet doesn't have chain chomp cavern 2, which is an uncleared level i made in 2020. It has only about 50 plays though and it doesn't show up at all in any endless levels IIRC

EDIT: Okay yeah I remember that level but it definitely didn't stick out in my mind as the worst one. Bad level for sure, but not really that memorable. Just a "learn the rooms, collect the powerups in the right order, and find the hidden axe". But there's been other levels with the same aspects that were also badly designed hot garbage so I would rank those lower, personally. Anyway, thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
