sometimes its not worth the cost to rebuild everything from scratch to make it perfect. get it running even if its sort of ugly is good enough sometimes when people are on a budget. a lot of contractors dont seem to be able to offer that kind of service. good on ryan for charging this time and materials and doing the job quickly rather than wasting time. lots of time and materials contractors just run the clock and keep asking for more and more time

Look into the Hunter valves and controllers. You can get a WiFi unit and monitor the water for them. Also it monitors the local weather and will pause watering or increase when needed.

I know it’s a mess of a system but you’re doing things backwards. Fix the valves first then figure out the leaks next, section by section. You need a valve finder/toner to figure out what wire goes to which valve. Good luck 👍🏼

Good Evening Ryan, showing an episode like this illustrates how you sometimes have to step outside your comfort zone and Mine other Vain’s of Revenue. I believe sprinklers are about flow rate and not pressure. Obviously you need pressure but 50psi at 1/2 inch provides a different flow rate then 3/4 or 1 inch at 50psi
@1Builtcummins
@1Builtcummins 3 ай бұрын
Flow rate, gpm, static pressure, residual pressure, and meter size all are considered in the math for a proper zone. For someone new to irrigation, psi is one of the easier ways for someone to start learning. Always try and keep your residual pressure above 35 psi is a rule I go by. To little, and the sprinkler wont pop up hard enough to make a good seal.

I would be so on edge all the time just from possibility (but I guess I would go numb after few months:). Still, comming from European with no dangerous wildlife, this is so strange to me :) poisonous snakes, spiders - wow.

Hey Ryan, I post about how your projects are always inspiring, thanks for posting man, this is good stuff... What would be cool (not necessary) is to see the revenue of these projects, and what where the expenses. The business side of these little projects are super interesting. Maybe just generalizations would be cool too. If this would expose you in any way to your competition or whatever, don't do this, just more out of curiosity.
