When I agreed to help with this season of studio tours I did not expect being asked to climb down into a 20ft bunker on a glorified pool ladder, but now I’ve learned to expect the unexpected. Zack is the best. Loved this one.

My mom is an occupational therapist and works with disabled children, and I’ve gotten to see some of the amazing work she does. Because of that, I’ve also seen how ridiculous wheelchair pricing is, and it’s something that’s upset me for years. Seeing what Zach is doing with his “Not A Wheelchair” company brings me so much joy, not to mention how wholesome and sweet his relationship is with his wife. Im so glad that someone is stepping up to the plate and showing everyone that there’s no reason for wheelchairs to be so ridiculously expensive.

@coocanoot14 ай бұрын
The material cost and manufacturing alone does not cover the cost of said $70-$400 OR $700-$2,000 piece of equipment. Sounds like insurance/UHC is eating the costs, or wheelchair manufacturers are paid out directly by your government. That’s how it should be, but the USA isn’t there yet. Zack is still doing a good thing trying to make wheelchairs more accessible to people who need them, since the US government isn’t doing squat to help their citizens.
@akyhne4 ай бұрын
3 years ago, I had a wheelchair on loan from my local hospital , because of a broken leg. I also had other remedies on loan, like crutches, a walking chair etc. When i was taking all this home, I had to sign a letter of return, listing prices for every item, so if I didn't return them after a period, I'd have to pay to replace them. The wheelchair was DKK 2500 (Danish dollars), which is the equivalent to $175. I of course know little about wheelchairs, but it had a lot of functionality and adjustments, so not just a "basic" wheelchair,if that even exists.

Been a LONG time sub of Zack. He's a great guy. Years and years ago I sent him some phone repair tools to try and get him away from using razor blades for everything and he did stop for a while. He had his own isesamo style tool for some time. He even sent me a few that I still use. Then the razors came back even stronger and he made an awesome utility knife handle. Which is pretty funny to me since I basically tried to stop him from this. But the jerryrigeverything knife is incredibly good. I actually bought one from LTT once they started selling them. Now I just need Zack to make and sell a pen light that uses 2 AAA batteries and my EDC stuff will all be from him lol. Anyways while I still do phone repair he has gone on to be a massive success and I can't be more happy for the guy.
