So happy you checked out my favorite guy IAN! He's one of the most brilliant, complex, and dynamic individuals and artists I've ever come across in my life. You definitely won't regret diving into IAN's discography, and I hope you also dive into his interviews and recorded past livestreams on KZbin. He goes in depth about his struggles with DID and Bipolar, his inspiration for his music and visual concepts, explains his other "personality's (aka MITO, Mr. INSANITY, HYBRID)", what they look like, and where you can actually see them in the music videos. He's just an all-around musical genius and an exceptionally kind, funny, down to earth, humble human being. I'm so blessed I'm going to see him live in Atlanta in September 🥰. Ian is truly one of those artists that impacts you. When I discovered him after he released his first album I didn’t know what to do with myself. I listened to it all at once on a long drive and was sobbing the entire time. XD seeing him continue tell his story even though he continues to struggle is really a blessing. Happy his hard work is pulling off. Been a fan of his video editing from other artists too. Definitely check out his buddy DPR LIVE. Totally his own vibe but amazing at it

you should check out his song "Don't Go Insane" next! his song "No Blueberries" is also one of my favorites. It also features DPR LIVE who is more of a rapper and producer in the DPR collective, but still hella funky. He's so so good as well and IAN still does most of most his videography. "yellow Cab" and "summer tights" are 2 of my favorite songs of DPR LIVE. ...also not sure if you're aware they are based out of Korea...DPR IAN is Australian and so does most all his music in English, but most of LIVE's stuff is in Korean but you can use subtitles to understand lyrics. Good music is good music, tho

Hi there Mon from Downunder, id like to give some context about DPR IAN....born Christian Yu, in Sydney Australia, he is an Australian singer, rapper, and director based in Los Angeles. He is a former member of Yedang Entertainment boy group C-Clown, which was active between 2012 and 2015. Yu made his solo debut under his co-founded label Dream Perfect Regime (DPR) with the digital single "So Beautiful" .Yu is behind the visual arts for the DPR, In 2021, DPR Ian and Live released the track "Diamonds + and Pearls" as part of the soundtrack to the Marvel Film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. This marked the duo-along with fellow artists on the album-becoming two of the first Korean artists to participate in a Marvel soundtrack album. DPR Ian was diagnosed with bipolar disorder when he was a teenager, then later in his twenties with dissociative identity disorder (DID). He later created an alter ego, Mito, to reflect the low episodes of his mental disorder. In an interview with Billboard, he said that "I wanted to portray a character dealing with various mental disorders which may be deemed negative or dark in a realistic sense but at the same time can also be seen as superpowers in a different light". He talks about a personified version of his high manic episodes named 'Mr. Insanity' with his newest album, Dear Insanity, saying, "I thought it had to be about someone that represents my utmost manic highs, but all in all I've always thought Mr. Insanity to be more of a scary character.
