By the way, Aegon's dragon was shown to be still alive on the ground, we are still not sure about Aegon. FYI Dragons are not immune to 🔥. Yes Vhagar is the last remaining dragon of the 3 original conquring dragons.

Meleys could’ve definitely take Vaghar 1v1. This is why Aemond did sneak attack cause he knew he couldn’t take Rheanys in a battle. And the fact that she could’ve escape anytime cause Meleys is the fastest dragon but she stayed and fought, that’s a true queen.👑👑👑

Ironically if she'd gone along with Daemon's plan in ep 1 (take Caraxes and Meleys and both of them go after Aemond and Vhagar) they might've been able to take her out early. Vhagar is huge and has the most battle experience of the dragons but she's slow. If two or more smaller dragons came at her from above and took out her wings it'd be over for her.

No patreon (uncut) HotD upload for eps 3 AND 4?? 😭 Rhaenys knew that with Aegon/Sunfyre out of play she could probably take Vhagar by themselves. If Aemond/Vhagar didn’t SNEAK her, she could’ve won (with heavy damage) or at least cripple Vhagar severely. Her experience puts her a tier above Aemond even w/ Vhagar. And they knew they were being baited but that’s why they sent Rhaenys bc she’d have the best chance against Vhagar. In fire & blood, it was a true 2v1.

Daemon always says that you require two dragons to defeat Vhagar but no one listens to him...Daemon says this to Rhaeny's too but her ego is what got her kil*ed here

It doesn't require two dragons to take down vhagar.meleys would've taken down vhagar if she didn't fight with sun before then vhagar may be stronger but meleys is more agile and faster then vhagar but before then she was tired they choose to die together and go down together because they wanted to it's not about ego

If Meleys wouldn't have let go of the Vhagar sight, she wouldn't have lost, i'd stay it's a pretty stupid decision going above the castle, knowing there could be trap there.

Rhaenys challenging Vhagar had nothing to do with not listening to Daemon, got no idea where you brought that up, nor do I see why your trying to make Rhaneys as being egotistical here, talk about vilification. Rhaenys took on Vhagar alone because simply put becaase she had no choice. She could have left but if she did it would mean abandoning the Castle she was sent to defend. Doing so would damage Rhaenyra's cause as it would make it seem she and her allies would abandon those who pledge fealty when things were hard. Rhaenys knew she would likely die against Vhagar but she was also a more experienced Dragonrider plus Vhagar despite her power was an older Dragon, so she did a have chance of winning even if slim.
