about a year ago, i had a dream that took me back a decade, I was rushing A-long on dust 2 in csgo, before the map rework, with my old skins and my childhood bestfriend, all on my old time accurate computer setup. I remember the dream vividly still now, it makes me feel sick to my stomach, like i could start crying any second. Things are so different now, I dont play counterstrike anymore, and in general I doubt I'll ever feel that sense of community counterstrike gave me as a formative young man. I've seen most of these plays live and regarding how most of these plays are insane it's also insane how much better players have gotten over the years looking back at this. It's not only technology getting better but e-sport is taken even more seriously and has evolved despite it's kinda crumbling now, but it's everything that evolves that contributes to how we feel about it that's part of these plays that happen on stage.
