CS2 has source engine unlike CS:GO, so almost all of it's code is different, but mechanics, weapons and maps strayed mostly the same, although not all mechanics stayed the same because of a new engine and therefore there are different bugs from what was there before

about a year ago, i had a dream that took me back a decade, I was rushing A-long on dust 2 in csgo, before the map rework, with my old skins and my childhood bestfriend, all on my old time accurate computer setup. I remember the dream vividly still now, it makes me feel sick to my stomach, like i could start crying any second. Things are so different now, I dont play counterstrike anymore, and in general I doubt I'll ever feel that sense of community counterstrike gave me as a formative young man. I miss my friends, my childhood, and the happiness I found in my day to day back then

I've seen most of these plays live and regarding how most of these plays are insane it's also insane how much better players have gotten over the years looking back at this. It's not only technology getting better but e-sport is taken even more seriously and has evolved despite it's kinda crumbling now, but it's everything that evolves that contributes to how we feel about it that's part of these plays that happen on stage. I spend 4000 hours on this game, stopped playing like 3-4 years ago. I always thought it was a big waste of my time, it was but watching this knowing every highlight in the video (some that I watched live) is actually not that bad as well. CS:GO gave me fun time, taught me English, taught me how to be a leader (I am not joking lol), taught me not to gamble (I lost so much on skins haha), made me hyper-focused. I do not know man, looking back it is sad to see no one will be able to play this game anymore, I am kind of happy because I was sad that I was not able to play this game again, now that since it is gone even if I wanted to play I can not so there is no guilt of leaving the game that I spend so much time on. (IK it is a weird feeling) It was a good game, really fun game. Thanks for the memories CS:GO. And guys a little advice from an old gamer here, do not spend so much time on gaming, I know it is fun and all but there is a life out there and try to do everything balanced :)

I feel so bad and nostalgic for an era that I didn't really lived but lived as well. I played csgo since 2018. I was 10yo and now I'm 17. I really miss theses times when I played this legend game. CS2 isn't the same anymore. Not even interested in the game. More and more cheaters, esport isn't like before, pleasure isn't like before. I'm super sad I didn't came to this game at his gold age with esport and fame behind this game. I wanted to follow the esport, I wanted to feel all of this. Now I can only watch these kind of videos and feel bad about how this game got erased so fast from the world. All the memories with the friends or even the small esport teams I was into.
