Hospital did not have the incubator to save him he was moved too late to another hospital his funeral was a blur to me I was 18years old his tiny white coffin is imprinted in my brain 45 years later we still visit his grave we don’t even have photo he is just my memory when I held him then he was torn from my arms.

I lost 2 angel babies and I now have 2 beautiful sons. I often think about them. What would they have looked like? What would they be doing? I was told by someone that it’s natures way of saying somethings wrong. Please never say that to someone who has lost a baby. It’s so hard to deal with what’s happening let alone a comment like this. What did get me through was my beautiful ex mother-in-law. She was on the other side of Australia but her words still comfort me to this day. She said I can’t take away your pain. I can’t take away your loss, but I can grieve with you. I can mourn the loss of my grand baby. She pulled me through my first loss and also helped me with my second. An amazing woman taken too soon from us. I hope she is cradling her grand babies and giving them the love she gave to me and my boys.

2006-04-02 is when I lost ~Kayla~ at 21 weeks 6 days along. Long, depressing, guilt-ridden, angry, etc. story short, it was the worst thing I've ever gone through. If I didn't already have my first daughter, I can't say for sure whether I'd still be here or not. In even shorter short, it sucked. Heartbreaking. This next, coming up Tuesday will be 18 years. Anyway, I have to stop thinking of this right now; it's bad enough that my body and mind relive it every year whether I'm conscious of it or not.

I love your honest reaction to this sad but beautiful song. It has been almost 50 years since I miscarried my son, from time to time I see a man about the age he would've been and wonder what his life would have been like, it's no longer devastating, but the hole is still there.

This was a very meaningful and deep reaction and I totally agree with you but (and please don’t take this the wrong way) but it isn’t just the women that had lost something no one can replace. It‘s the father too and it’s ok if the man can’t necessarily be strong and it id no shame if he can’t be strong as he lost something irreplaceable as well but he has to be there. This is already enough.

James Blunt writes his own tragedies and pain from his soul. As with Monsters, his way of dealing with it is to write a song. His form of healing and dealing - but it is also worth knowing that he and his wife now have two sons,

I still maintain that if something were to happen to my daughter, they would have to find me one of those nice jackets with sleeves that tie in the back. And if it ever proved to be purposeful, I am smart enough to ensure no one would ever find the body. Losing a child for whatever reason, is not at all in the natural order of things. Question: I find it hard to tell here if the child was lost thru miscarriage, or if an adoption fell through. Thoughts, y'all?
@sandraback780910 ай бұрын
My understanding is that James and his wife lost a baby through miscarriage. I have no idea how far along the pregnancy was but it appears that they knew it was a daughter. James and his wife went on to have two sons. James writes a lot of songs about real events in his life, events that many of us also experience. No Bravery refers to his time as an officer in the British Army when in a war zone with the UN. Monsters is about facing the lost of a much loved parent when his own father had a terminal diagnosis. He is quite the Bard with a knack of exposing real emotions with amazing lyrics.❤

I reject your description of this tragic scenario as something that only WOMEN seemingly go through! Couples go through this TOGETHER, the pain, the loss the emptiness is shared and the father's mourn equally with their spouses! Yes, mother's experience a unique sense of loss for having carried the baby in their womb, but the loss is no less diminished for their spouse. So please, don't trivialize/minimize the grief the men also share.

Cannot justify abortion on the logic that men cannot relate to women in pregnancy. Not sure if you implied the PRO CHOICE position or not. We dont know what babies go thru that are mutilated in the womb either.
@Macmumoz5 ай бұрын
You don't know the risks women undertake to bring a baby into the world. You don't know what it means to lose a baby that way, where it isn't a choice or be forced to make a choice.
