Sarah I’m sitting here watching your video, I’m crying too and Judah’s not even my child but it’s OK to feel sad. This is a big moment for your family so it’s going to hit you all hard. Judah is such a wonderful young man with a great value structure he’ll do well in which ever environment he finds himself. The added bonus is that he’s travelling with Nathan who you know very well. Look after yourself and take a little time to feel a little sad. Safe travels Judah, look forward to seeing and hearing about your adventures.

My daughter moved from the USA to Canada for 10 years! My poor heart. I was so proud of her, she went to college and started a wonderful career during that time. My momma heart burst with joy the day she moved back to the states. Now I live 3 minutes from her, I love it! You'll get through this Sarah, it takes some time to get used to it. All my best to you and your family!

I cried on and off for months when my daughter was going to college. Cried on the way to the college. My husband and daughter thought it was hilarious. My daughter kept saying don’t embarrass me when you go to leave. We go to leave and my daughter and husband looked at each other and both started sobbing. My husband was so upset I had to drive home. She was only 2 1/2 hours away.

He is in town and we see him and the grandkids often. Still when he first left my heart hurt. We have 4 more at home, 3 adults and a 13yr old. Rents where we live in California are crazy and this is their home so long as they want. I feel for you, as mamas we definitely feel it in a different way. He will do great things Sarah, you and Solo have raised an amazing young man. And he is going to serve God what an honorable young man!! 🙏🙏🙏🥰🥰

Oh Sarah, I am crying seeing you all at the airport saying goodbye, and remembering my first child, my only daughter leaving for college. It became easier with my three boys. They all came home!! I now have my first grandchild leaving in a week. We went on a family (19) vacation and are having an early birthday party this weekend to send her off. Judah will have the best time, learn so much, meet so many and remember it his whole life. Coming from a small suburban community I encouraged my children to leave and grow. We are all so fortunate to have devices to keep in touch today. Just remember, He Will Come Home!!

As a military daughter, wife, and mother I have spent my whole life saying goodbye for a year + at a time. I will tell you saying goodbye to dad and to my husband was hard but it didn’t compare to saying goodbye to my son. Knowing I wouldn’t see him or know he was safe for years at a time. I hope Judah enjoys himself! I went to Japan right after college for 6 weeks. I was teaching English using the Bible as our textbook with a ministry called Let’s Start Talking. I grew up in the Omaha area and started my first leg of my journey from Eppley Airfield as well. That was 9 years ago. It was such an amazing experience! I believe I spoke more regularly with my parents over video call when I was in Japan than I ever did when I was away at college in the United States. 😂

Sarah he will love it. I remember when my son went to uni aged 18 hundreds of miles away it broke my heart but he loved it and never returned to live at home permanently after that. After getting his degree he went to Texas ( we are in England UK ) to work in childrens summer camp for 3 months then came back and moved to London to live and work, 6 years later he is still there, very happy, good job, lots of friends. This year he has visited us twice so far but we stay in touch by phone and FaceTime. It’s hard letting go, you always worry about them but have to accept it and let them live their life. It makes me so happy to see him and give him a big hug - the best feeling !xx Take care, xx

I’m flooded with memories of sending our daughter off to China six years ago….she still lives abroad and I refuse to send her off with any tears….I save them for the way home from airport. A mother's love knows no bounds. Totally fair to cry when your first baby leaves the nest! Sending so much love to you Sarah. You'll get the watch him grow through this season and you'll be so proud of how far he will come. Thank God for technology too! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

I just cried at the end knowing you let your precious baby boy go off to Japan. I couldn't even imagine how my heart could let my 20 year old son leave this area. But I know deeply I would let him leave if he truly wanted to. So I commend you on your heart honor as into trusting God as your parents trusted God when you left the country. I know soon and very soon he will be back. But for right now this is raw and uncut. I love your family and your heart's. God bless y'all.
