I can see why Tony and Newburn are doing more of there own thing now, Finnegan has good content but he's more about standing back and having other people do the work
@punishergto51822 жыл бұрын
@@terrymoore9185 I disagree. He wrenchs a lot in his videos. In this video Mike's calculating all the dollar signs its going to take to build another hemi and wouldn't want to open up the engine in a parking lot (again) to find out what it needs. Then have to stick it back in the car to get it on the truck and somewhere to pull it again and fix it. That's why it's drag week
@FinnegansGarage2 жыл бұрын
@@terrymoore9185 really? lol
@biosaber5852 жыл бұрын
@@terrymoore9185 Not gonna lie, I can kind of tell you aren't a racer or from a racing family. Part of why Mike is LESS hands on for parts of this with the motor is he's trying to pick ties and yknow, get the car and coincidentally the entire Blasphemi team back in the game. That means buying parts, making calls, seeing what he can pull from where to get things back rolling again. In this situation Mike CAN'T be under the hood of the car because he needs to be figuring out what the fuck is the next step for them, is everyone going home or are we buying something last minute to stuff in the car and get back on the road, do we have a motor do we not, do we have a shop, the place to do the tooling the motor needs or not? Tony and everyone else is having to jump in to cover the slack BECAUSE Mike can't be doing everything in this instance. I can assure you he WANTS to but some things take priority, no sense tearing it apart if you have nothing to replace the potentially trashed motor WITH or anywhere to get parts or anywhere to have the work done the motor needs. Here we see Mike managing the team, he's the driver, the sponsor and the owner, he's got on about twelve different hats in this instance, Tony is stepping up being his crew chief getting bodies together to get the car worked on and pulling up the slack where Mike USUALLY is because Mike is again, wearing half a dozen other hats that take priority here over mechanic. I get what you're saying I do, it's the same thing I started to see with Freiburger in Roadkill, he spent more time standing around being a host than a partner to Finnegan, but when you look at it from the perspective of David bankrolling most of the stuff and covering the more management side of things it starts to make a little more sense why he isn't acting as a second set of hands on the cars. I'm not faulting you on your thought process just trying to explain to you what you aren't seeing here because you just.. don't know these things.
