Our dad was a Navy chaplain for 30 years and was with the Seabees on a few ships and on a cruiser (Topeka) and aircraft carrier (America) We spent most Sunday mornings (chapel services) and early afternoons on board while they were in port. We could get you from one end of the ship to the other. I miss it and it has be several years. We even lived in San Diego for awhile. Hubby was a Marine Corps pilot. Military life was a way of life from the time I was in first grade through married life. It looks like Madi had a great ride...beautiful scenery! I am so glad you got to get out there for her graduation and spend some time away as a family, too.

I was blessed to tour the USS Enterprise back in '75. Talk about massive. I'm an old bike woman. It is so freeing. Seeing Madi enjoying it made my heart fill with joy. I love you guys. Stay Blessed.

Happy Hump Day Daniel, Michelle & Louie!!! Hope the road trip home is going smoothly for both of you. San Diego was a stop on our last cruise the hubby & I were on in Oct 2019. I chose the San Diego Wildlife Zoo to tour. I needed to see me some Tigers they have there. Our cruise ship was docked right next to the Midway. I think we would have enjoyed the Midway tour as well. So I know exactly what you're talking about with all the helicopters you're seeing whilst on your catamaran. I saw them too!!! Quite something to see so many at once isn't it? Kudos to Madi for getting on the Harley. You two sure got to show us some amazing & beautiful San Diego country side.
