To add, this concert was in 2002 when James was 69 and Luciano was 67. Sadly James left us in 2006 and Luciano in 2007. Thankfully we have videos like this to re-live their greatness.

It was Pavarotti's special show, for charity. He would remain on stage while guests like James Brown came out to do one number with himi, then left. Brown was particularly pleased because although he wrote the song, when had he ever heard an orchestrated Italian version? And sung by a great opera tenor? A treat for James as well as the audience!

I never get tired of watching this "chicken & waffles" performance by these two legends! Although some might find the combination odd or unusual, it's absolutely DELICIOUS once you've tried it! Bravo Luciano and JB! RIP FYI, Luciano did these collaborations with other artists (see e.g Tracy Chapman) as fundraisers for his hometown of Modena, Italy.
