I agree that it's important not to take things for granted and to be grateful for things that seem like a given (such as being able-bodied or having a roof over our heads. Hell, even things that might annoy you now about your friends/partners would be something you would greatly miss were they to pass), I think it veers into toxic positivity to say that someone who is suffering must just not be grateful enough. I hate this aspect of spiritualism because it really helped me when I was at my lowest points, but telling someone who is homeless or otherwise truly suffering because of the societal systems that they "just aren't grateful enough" is so disrespectful. I've been homeless, and even with my relatively short and comfortable experience with it (only had to sleep without out a roof over my head one night in the dead of winter), I still just... caution against the "just be grateful" mantras. It comes from a good place, but it's never what someone in that situation wants or needs to hear, and it ESPECIALLY is not their fault that society left them out to die.

This message really is balanced and does give reason for pause when speaking of these subjects in terms of manifestations and co creation. I am really green to a lot of this and part of me is wondering if I wound up in this larger awakening movement because of what adversities I’ve been dealing with since May. My career went from a solid 17+ years of success and progression to one day being replaced due to lower cost labor market options, otherwise my work speaks for itself and is solid as a professional. I expressed gratitude every time my direct deposits posted and for being gainfully employed many many times over because the truth was I recognized it’s a gift to have been able to work with the same employer and make progression in your career over that stretch of time in 17+ years, it’s rare by any feat. Still my own success was eclipsed due to cost savings and low cost labor market alternatives -I’m not bitter about that anymore I’ve done the internal work processing the feelings and knowing i needed to release it in order to truly make room for the abundance and career wins I’m working to manifest but it’s tiresome I’m not going to lie. I said this in another of Estelle’s videos that when I was younger and a college student full time at that, comp sci major. When I wanted an internship to come through for me, I simply prayed about it. God answered those prayers every time. When I needed a miracle in a class I had struggled in I prayed for success and still put in the work and extra time and in the end God made a way for my grades to be A or B level at the end of the course where the struggles existed, I simply prayed about it and that was it. Nothing more. Now that I’m in this difficulty phase here comes an additional 25+ spirituality methodologies that you have to partake in to co-create your abundance and realities and align with the higher self, in addition to prayer and do it every single day. This is where I’m having the hardest time processing the awakening itself I’m going through or maybe I am wrong and it’s not an awakening actually and just life lifin in my case. It had been going pretty smooth for me for many a year tbh, so I do know it rains on both sides. 🤷🏽‍♂️ I’m happy that you weren’t homeless for very long and I appreciate your comments.
