You'd be surprised the kind of levels you get in normal difficulty every now and then that should be in expert or higher. Currently trying to get an endless normal medal and I've come across super tight speedrun levels, techs like multiple duck twirls or pow jumps, button mashing speed runs, even got a double shell jump level once.

They end up in normal for the same reason triple shell jump levels end up in expert. Niche tech that only certain people like to do and do well, thus driving up the clear rate to much higher than it should be. Everyone else just skips. There's also a lot of levels that are actual expert or even super expert levels in normal but are there because they have a dev exit. So if you don't realize there's a dev exit... you're screwed.

9:20 Reminds me of the hidden SMB3 coin ships. I don't know how to feel about the no-pausing thing. This type of run is already an RNG fest with pick-a-path, Little Timmy spam (e.g., the last level), and levels that range the gamut of 'how could you possibly die in this level' to 'how is this not expert'. Not pausing to see WR, tags, other hints seems like it takes away some of the level-reading and other player skills, and shifts the balance to make an already-RNG dependent run even more so. But like Panga said, it is good content.

Panga really hates adventure levels. It seems like all he wants is hold right speed runs that take less than 30 seconds each. Panga is so impatient! Panga will hate the 3D Mario games because those take much longer to complete.

He has changed over time when this became his job. Before, years ago, check his videos and he's calm and collected. But he also barely speaks back then. When he turned this into his job, he really needs to interact with his audience and make content that people want like his expert no skip runs. It's obvious he's tired of it, but it brings in the money. This has turned into his job compared to a fun hobby and it changed him a lot.

It's just not good, especially when you want to show something entertaining to the crowd. In contrast, if Carl gets stuck in a troll level for 2+ hours he might actually gain viewers over that time. I respect the showmanship personality (extra interactions/engagement), but this is the trap of content creators known for their excellence and speedrunning. No time to chill if your fanbase isn't chill.

this content is...fine i like most of your other series more. the main problem is that there are two likely suboptimal play strategies 1) play cautious and boring because you have to 2) play fast and lose and constantly lose the former is ore likely to succeed, but probably isn't fun to play or watch the latter isn't going to find success better challenges would reward playing boldly rather than super cautious

I still like the content, it is great to watch before going to sleep, but I don't like Panga's attitude as of late... He is not happy playing the game, it is so easy to tell. Compare his last videos with for example when he played Bingo with Rays. It is like a different Panga now. Sure, it is job, but try to enjoy it, do different stuff... I don't know.

This level seems to be based on one of the demo levels, and you're right, it does feel very random, sometimes your car will kill one of the spring guys instead of landing on it and bouncing, as was intended. I wonder if RNG governs their behavior. Same for the Meowser at the end, he behaves rather randomly and this decides whether or not your speedrun will be successful. I really don't much care for the other 3DW style demo level either (the haunted house). Annoying puzzle plus that P switch run where you can barely reach the door in time.
