I think you covered everything well! I think most people think of any kind of special diets as being vegan, vegetarian, peanut or shellfish allergies, etc. There are so many more that people don't know much about and it sounds like it's a good idea to thoroughly check things out before booking the cruise, just to make sure you can completely enjoy yourself. I'm so proud of you for going on a cruise! I haven't been on one myself, but I've heard so many fun things about them. I always joke that if I finally went on a cruise, mine would be the one where everyone on the ship got sick. LOL! I'm not really a drinker myself, so I would have to find one that isn't completely centered on drinking. I guess you could still go watch a show and just have a soft drink if you wanted one. As always, I'm part of the end of credits fam!

Personally I love cruises . Been on afew . Great food , atmosphere, a new place to visit almost every day … etc etc …. Almost everything ( minus alcohol) in one price

Girl, I a seasoned cruiser. Most cruises are centered around drinking, but probably not as much as Virgin voyages is since it is all adult. You were so brave to venture out of your comfort zone and try something different. I love cruising!!!!! I am not much of a drinker myself

Interesting comment about allergies because we were asked at every meal and wifey never was served garlic, or coconut. There were so many menu items marked gf that I'm surprised that you felt this cruise line wasn't allergy friendly. Thanks for the review.

Perhaps it was just our experience! The problem was we had a coeliac and lactose intolerance. We were just surprise there wasn't a small allergen friendly kitchen on board. I'm so so glad you and your wife were accommodated though! 🧡

Thank you for sharing your experiences. I've never been on a cruise but my daughter was married on a cruise ship (while docked) so I got to at least see some of it. My husband is too afraid to be out on the water. I have done some daring things (in my 60s!) since my breast cancer diagnosis: I went on the highest zipline in America, the longest mountain roller coaster in the US and I also went parasailing. I'm not as adventurous as I was since C hit the world but still try to take our oldest grandson on a yearly Spring Break trip. We did a road trip this year that was just as fun. Maybe you could have a meet up if you come to the US again. 🥰

love this video (my leg is dead too lol) - 🤗 I always thought cruises sounded horrible (like being trapped in a floating hotel) but I'm in intrigued to know how fun they are and that you can go lots of different ports. It's cool that they do have a few vegan options now too! (I think all places could do better with the allergy accommodations) I don't drink so it's kind of routine for me to tune out "drink culture" lol - but I think there are sober cruises?

Technology has improved the environmental impact of travelling so much in the last 40 years. Yes, there is still some impact, but if you have that wanderlust urge (which I feel has a genetic element), one of the things that is going to make you happy is seeing different parts of the world. Sadly, some of us are born to over think things and feel more guilty than others, but you can’t be hard on yourself, your whole life. You Must allow yourself some happiness, if you have the chance. Sounds like such an amazing trip. I had social anxiety for much of my early life, but around 25 I came up with the philosophy of ‘you have to do the things you fear’. This isn’t about taking up extreme sports. It’s more about pushing yourself socially and forgiving yourself for perceived failures. I say ‘perceived’ because there are no real failures. Only mismatches of interest and understanding. It takes two to communicate. If you have trouble communicating with someone, it’s no one person’s fault. That’s just life☺️ Glad you had an amazing trip. Only been that far out to sea once and it was amazingly calming. Especially at night😊

I will be honest you , I quit drinking due to my mental health and its still not good. The reason to quit was how much I drank I could never get drunk enough. so It is what it is. And Dan would be PROUD OF YOU.

Don't beat yourself up about climate stuff. Nobody else is. On a lighter note, my parents say "It's not a boat, it's a ship. The boats are what you get on when it's sinking..." :) Try convincing people that cruises are nice... if you work it out please tell me how haha.

Never stop dreaming and just take the chance with both hands when something you never thought you could do comes up. And Becca, don't explain or defend yourself about the plain flights... you waited long enough to make this trip, there are wealthy people out there using private jets to go and grab a burger.... No one should feel shame for using a plane to travel once or twice a year.

I believe religion can be a beautiful thing if practiced in the most genuine and loving way - but it has also caused a lot of harm.
