Ive really been getting into this band after hearing them on here. They remind me so much of Iron Maiden, but they also have their own flair that makes them stand out as well. The guitar and vocals stand out on this track. Great stuff.

Blind Guardian. I used to be a member of their fan club, "The Circle of the Bards", 25 years ago. :D They rule. In the meantime, their guitarrist Markus Siepen and me have developed the same hair colour (white) ROFL. Love them.

OH thats so cool! They truly are a special band! Also I love white hair.

never mind, when I first heard Hansi, his hair was still nice dark brown/black, just like mine...only 30 years later, its getting white! Aber Hansi schaut immer noch aus wie der Herr von der Sparkasse xD

One of the great bands of my youth, still going strong. I always felt like they diserve way more recognition for what they are giving to the metal community.

Howly! I first listened to the Album "Somewhere far beyond" in a School Bus in the early 90s, when a Friend brought his Discman and a new CD! 3 decades later, I still love their Sound and Hansi´s unique Voice!Back then, we all were Tolkien or PnP fans, so their Songs from Middle Earth just were hitting our hearts!

I would love to see you reacting to Malice Mizer - Le ciel. Most specifically, the live perfomance of Merveilles l'espace: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXy0g3V9iLuffqM Malice Mizer is a band of the visual kei (means "visual style") movement, so I've choosen this song to show you the elaborated costumes and theatrics that visual kei (and Malice Mizer) has to offer. The members are (they are all man btw): Mana, leader of the band and guitarist (the one in blue) Közi, creator of the band alogside Mana, also a guitarist (the one in red) Yu~ki, bassist Kami, drummer (sadly, he died at 1999) Gackt, vocals Some history of the band, in case you want to read: Gackt brought a more "pop" and "French" vibe (Mana's words) to the band, contrasting with the previous vocalist, Tetsu, who was goth/punk and sang like a crazy drunk, but with a lot of passion (which I love). Gackt leaves the band at the same time that Kami dies, which makes the band enter a darker and totally gothic world, with the help of the new singer, Klaha, who has an opera style (he is my favorite vocalist of the three). But that wasn't enough to extend the band's existence (they started in 1992), which went on hiatus in 2001, playing just a few reunion shows with just Yu~ki, Közi, Mana and guest vocalists. It's been my favorite band for a while now, and I promise you that their discography is one of the most diverse you'll ever see, if not the most diverse one.

@@TheWolffAndTheMelody Duuuuude! When I saw them in concert a few years ago they played that song and when the opening notes hit, the entire audience surged the stage. I was halfway between the ecstasy of the moment and fear that I was going to die by getting crushed against the barricade (LOL) Very epic song and hits like a sledgehammer!

Loving this revisited album... The original is a classic, but the og recording itself does feel dated to me. I live for the tiny little flourishes they've add to the old songs, like Hansi going for a higher octave on the final line here. Yet for me, their best album will always be Night at the Opera. It's just everything I want from Epic Metal, and there's no need to ever re-record. The original still sounds flawless. The Flame of Troy will Shine Bright!
