Andé I swear if you keep making videos like this you will become the next bald and bankrupt. Everything good takes time and even Ben himself claimed that was recording everything until some day when he randomly got 5 million views on his video that got it all started. I hope something will happen to your channel as well 🔥

Bald already shared his views about the Czech Republic. I don't know if he is still living here. I would think he would prefer St. Pete Russia. What he said about the Czech Republic is right "if you want to engage with that Generation, (Generally people over 50) that lived through "za Comunismus" and don't speak Czech (or German often people over 70 will speak a bit) you are pretty much not going to get much conversation unless you get lucky and they speak English. You will get in trouble if you ask if they speak Rusky.. They will look at you strange and say, "hey foreigner should'nt you be like in Prague somewhere something talking to people where tourists go? and give you the cold shoulder,, wondering why we are all here buying up properties and making the place so damnd expensive". Not much Communist era stuff left besides the Panalaks, a few metro stations like Kacerov and Haje (I guess all the Ukrainians hanging out around and working the stands there give it a more authentic feel). Stalin Letna Praha 7. I can't think of one Mosaic I remember some in the early 90's. I'm sure the Czechs have done away with most of those. Hey man I just found your channel its good well done! I have some ideas myself to film but I got that full time job and weekends I just want to drown myself in a few local pubs. I've been in the CZ since the early 90's with a 10 year hiatus in between. That lady in the beginning behind you was making some comments about something, was not looking positive. I'm sure you wished her politely a nice day.

Important facts 1. Not soviet but rather socialist mosaics 2. The name of the town was Zlin, after during communism it was changed to Gottwaldov and after again back to Zlin 3. Bata have basically build that city from a village, he build a HUGE factory - thats where you should have started 4. Bata have build the main streets and housing areas and the famous British style houses 5. Bata was investing in lot of areas not just shoe making, in the best years they were building even planes 6. Currently the Bata organization operates in about 20+ countries as you said, but back then i believe it was 80+

Great content man. I've been to Zlin many times, there's a rock/metal festival (Masters of Rock) every year in a nearby town of Vizovice. You should see the inside of the Bata Tower, there's a very interesting museum there. One of the interesting features of the building is Bata's office room which is inside of an elevator. The dude did not want to waste time to go up and down the stairs, so he literally made an office inside the elevator lol. If you're into golf, you should play the 9 holes course they have in Zlin. The ninth hole is ridiculous :)

History of Baťas plans and this railway is more interesting, It was one of proposals by Baťa (I know that there is ta leas one another with line going much more southern) for new railway backbone that would lead from Prague all the way to Uzhhrod. If I am not mistaken construction was halted due to WWII and not him passing away. And ever since this railway appears in plans but there are some serious issues with that line. E.g. too great inclines of 16 ‰ or fact that official plans would need distillery at Vizovice to demolished or that they build street in Ublo in the right of way of railway. And another issue is that as it was designed to be just single track, which is not great for capacity.

The unfinished railway, I think it is pretty usable by bike, you know, you have the opportunity to travel through the unfinished rail by bike. It is lovely to buy home-produced eggs anyhwere in bigger towns or cities, but do you know what is the very very best? When you have chata or chalupa and your neighbour has hens and you can have / buy eggs, which were "produced" at the very morning and you can make yourself an omellete from them in the morning. There is nothing more fresh!

Hello Andre, another awesome video. Thanks for it, but you have missed some stuff what you can show. You can go on top of Bata tower and see the city from above, model of the city and so on. Also you can visit Bata villa, it is quite expensive to go inside, but it is also nice from outside. If you will come again into Zlín, don't hesitate to contact me and I can show you more about the city and tell you some interesting stuff.
