I’ve said it before and it’s still true…you both have beautiful souls. I’ve always loved this song because of the love Toby clearly had for Wayman. Holy crap this is tuff. Been a huge fan of Toby, not just because of his music but because of who he was. He was a staunch supporter of what he supported. He was just Toby. I clearly recall the first time I heard this tribute to the great Wayman Tisdale, I simply cried. Now, here I am again, crying harder. But, I remind myself that just as Toby said, "I'll meet you on the other side superstar". The sax player, Dave Koz, was another of Wayne Tisdale’s friends and a collaborator of Toby’s on this song. He’s a pretty well known musician in his own right. I’m sorry for your loss. I, too, lost my brothers. It’s been nearly 30 years and it still sometimes hits like it was yesterday. All we can do is honor those we’ve lost by living our best lives. For me Reba’s If I Had Only Known was what slayed me…. Sending up prayers for you guys.

Also would just like to add that as a kid, I always thought Toby Keith was selfish in saying that he's not crying because he feels sorry for Wayman and it rubbed me the wrong way but I understand now that he says that because he knows Wayman is with The Lord. We should envy the presence he is in..

R.I.P. Toby this song hits me hard i was diagnosed with throat cancer due to a lifetime of severe acid reflux. I chose not to seek treatment the Good lord has spoken death is a beautiful thing it is the next step of the journey we must all someday take alone. Awesome reaction. It's been 3 years since I lost my sister, who passed away with cancer. Time does not heal all wounds. What time does is slowly allow us to accept things for what they are. I still miss my sister every day, but I just accept the fact that she's gone, and hopefully, I'll get to see her again someday.
