I don’t think they’re right, rein doesn’t counter doom at all. He counters other brawlers, dive tanks work well against him because they can just escape him. Actually, I don’t think rein really counters anything. He’s just a decent tank.

I am so grateful for the perfect timing rein buffs. I am a dps cree main but I broke a bone in my right wrist making me unable to aim on a hitscan level in diamond lobbies. rein is pretty much the only thing ive been able to play snd ive been doing great! so far this season I am 9-2 on tank games and for the first time ever I have got my tank past diamond all on 3400 dpi lol.

Now that Rams ult is nerfed they should really make it so if you’re in nemesis form and you ult, your armor goes back up to the normal starting amount instead of having to cancel and start it again Maybe it’s so there is more time to stun and damage during the transition but idk, would be a nice QOL change

I only play ranked with my partner, who has never really played games like this before, so both sit around gold (she should probably be a little lower, I should probably be a little higher). I've been a Rein main since day1, I switch it up if he's severely out of the meta but even then he ends up as my comfort pick (and "meta" in gold means something a little different...). I love playing Rein, he just feels like the epitome of a space taking tank, but more than that I LOVE playing Rein INTO another Rein. By far my favourite OW1 meta was "the entire fight depends on who wins the Rein battle, pin or be pinned". So for me I don't really care if Rein is good or not for me, I'll end up playing him regardless, but I LOVE when Rein is meta just because you end up playing Rein AGAINST Rein much more often, and that just fills me with joy :)

@@Lord_Gatsby That is the weirdest comparison I have ever seen. Rein has 2 charges of his fire strike, each with a 6 second cooldown. The damage nerf was to his ult, which takes some time to charge up, and it's not very likely to get a direct hit with his ult anyways. On top of that, his charge also has seen a 1 second cooldown reduction, and the stun duration on his ult was increased very slightly as well. So I also do not see how this is a nerf in any way or form.

@@ad-hh3we His charge and fire strike were definitely buffed but shatter was nerfed pretty heavily. The 250 damage on a direct hit of shatter wouldn't come up often but it had huge pick potential when it did and could create more space if the enemy team knew he had his ult up since it's a one-shot for almost all squishies in the game. In a vaccum, the extra .25 seconds to the stun should give Rein and his team more time to confirm hits which is arguably a net buff but stuff like Kiriko Suzu and Zarya bubble still exist. Kiriko is also still meta and Mercy was heavily nerfed so it's very likely that there'll be even more Kiriko and she's unlikely to get nerfed since she's both a poster girl for the game and also received a Mythic skin. The ult charge was also nerfed, which is just unnecessary on a character that already has trouble getting into the enemy team to start doing most of his damage. The buffs to fire strike and charge were still very good but I personally don't think that shatter needed to be changed.

Do ranks not show up in lobby queue? How do I know what rank everyone is? I started placement matches, but did not finish before the reset. It is a lot more tryhard than Quick Play. I never played in-game Competitive before. The teams I veresed were no bronzes I seen in Flat videos. The DPS were out for blood and they were more corridnated than my team. Final thing, I do not like Mercy's nerfs. Her healing is so much less effective now.

Health is just regular HP, and is the first type of health to be recovered by healing sources Armor reduces damage taken by all sources by 5 (thus, it's more effective when being hit by weaker shots like Tracer's weapon, and less effective when being hit by strong attacks like a Junkrat ult) Shields is just regular HP that recovers over time after not taking damage for a while and is recovered by healing sources last (e.g., Health packs, Mercy beam)

Hot Take: Rein shouldn't be buffed, he has multiple 1-shots, that hit multiple enemies. Actual 1-shots, unlike other character's whos combos take more skill than 'be facing squishies'.. One of which is a full AOE, his left click is also an AOE. With a shield and now multiple quick firestrikes. Rein needs a complete rework, or to be "retired" permanently. Just like Sombra, their kit is unfixable as it is.
