@@ArunaUtd No, everyone else in this battle was great. It's not an "early ERBs suck" thing. They just purposefully made Batman's verse like this. Not because they couldn't, or lacked the skills to give him a good verse, but because they wanted to portray this sort of Batman. My speculation here is they were trying to make fun of how serious, straight-faced, and drab Christian Bale's Batman was (which was the predominant Batman of the time this ERB was being created). A brooding, no-nonsense, very anti-social, one-track-minded Batman who would probably not see the point of learning proper rapping technicals so wouldn't bother trying to. Or, to be more accurate, they were portraying the Batman people always memed Christian Bale's Batman to be during the time. Cause while he was still considered great, he had a _lot_ more detractors back then. He was definitely memed like this heavily online, so we ended up getting the meme Batman for this battle. And to add on to this, they definitely used the version of the characters most widely known at the time (or were the talk of the time) cause they used Robert Downey Jr's Sherlock for this one. If they were to remake this battle nowadays, I'm almost certain they'd portray either a classic Batman or Ben Affleck's, and they'd most definitely portray Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock since his portrayal has become iconic.

The book literally tells us that Sherlock Holmes does not love irene Adler before it tells us Irene's name , the very first thing we know about her character is that she is that Sherlock has no romantic feelings for her

I think part of Batman's problem is that they tend to try and portray the characters how they actually behave. And most versions of Batman we hear speak have a really rough voice to disguise it and don't talk much, which is part of the reason he had Dick Grayson become Robin. The way Robin banters with criminals tends to distract them and throw them off their game, which is why he was lightning fast here. Unfortunately, that still doesn't make up for the rest of Nice Peter's Batman performance. Like, if his entire performance was as good as his last couple of lines, he would've had a much better chance.

Irene Adler is not Sherlocks love Interest in the Books, she surprised him by outsmarting him and got him to change his horrible view on women, he just admired her. She help hin to develop further to a more progressive view on women in the society at this time. A play just used her as a love interest, because you couldn’t have a big hero who didn’t got a girl at the and so they took her (which is stupid, because she’s in a happy relationship at the end of her story) and every movie copied that. There is even one woman that would served as a fare better love interest (but I forgot her name and the story she’s in, sorry), if you really what someone for Sherlock. But I personally think that he is asexual... I mean the books hint it pretty obviously.

I can agree that Batman comes off as super stupid here (and even then, a part of me just loves his opening, "Nice hat... dork"; so childish xD), but that's also kind of the fun of it, especially considering where Peter got his inspiration from. Plus, it also gave Robin a chance to shine... only to be immediately cut-off before he could finish with the "cool thing" he was trying to do, which is pretty fucking accurate for a lot of the older Batman comics (Robin always got shit-on hard; same as all the sidekicks from the old era). Plus, I just really enjoy the dynamic between Holmes and Watson, with Watson being a truly epic hype man and Holmes actually acknowledging it by giving Watson a great moment all his own. It's a curb stomp, especially at the end, but it's definitely a very entertaining one.

Okay, Irene Addler has bedm changed so much through movies and TV shows... In the original books, on one of Sherlock's worst stories, he is hired by a Sultan or King or something like that to find and remove potential blackmail from the house of a woman the person was using as a mistress, ans in the end, when Sherlock finds where the letters SHOULD be, instead he finds a letter from Ms. Addlef who had left with another paramour, and had gotten the one-up on Holmes with her actions. Only in more recent retellings does she become a potential love interest with a mind as good as Sherlock's own.
